Starter instruction for a TTW...thing. This is not a guide to play the game 100%. Go look at Clear & Present Danger or Fear & Loathing if you want to play games NOW and have an awesome, stable time at it. Unless noted otherwise, this assumes you've followed the instructions in those mods. This is for promoting discussion on combining the Fallout 3 and Fallout NV mods, removing errors, forwarding fixes, and creating compatibility patches for a stable, optimized game. Some things will be wrong as I work my way through everything, comments & input are welcomed. This will not deal with texture optimization, Kelmych would be much better for advice on that.
Getting Started
Install Fallout New Vegas somewhere NOT in your program files directory. Launch the game once, set everything to highest. Install Fallout 3 somewhere NOT in your program files directory. Point Lookout Reborn
Point Lookout Reborn is an overhaul mod designed to make Point Lookout more enjoyable, level friendly and mainly to make exploration more rewarding. This mod contains many lore friendly changes and improvements that fit in with Point Lookout’s environment. Point Lookout Reborn is all about exploration. Those who take the time to explore the vast swampland will be rewarded with over 50% more additional content and around 2-3 hours of extended game play on top of the original 8 hours expected to complete everything. A series of over 400 corrections and improvements to navmesh, dialogue, coding, quests, landscape and packages on top of the additional content aims to ensure a richer and more rewarding experience for everyone.
