STEP v2.2.9.1 has been released!  <a href=http://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:2.2.9.1>View the guide</a> and check out the <a href=http://wiki.step-project.com/Changelog/2.2.9.1>changelog</a> for details on how to update. 2.2.9.1 is an Incremental Mod Update for Interim Release #3. What does this mean? This means that while there are no drastic changes to the STEP Guide, we have again fine-tuned the STEP setup to bring you a fluid mod list to enhance the beauty and feel of Skyrim.
This update was primarily influenced by the release of the Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch (USLEEP). Its release required an update to the guide in order to maintain compatibility. The STEP Team has also scoured permissions and communicated with a ton of mod authors to bring about the STEP Compilation, an advanced FOMOD installer combining many of the mods in the STEP Guide, causing installation of the guide to become that much easier. Another highlight of this release hails the acceptance of Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul, which fixes a huge amount of the bugs that have plagued Skyrim players for a long time. The INI files have gained some renewed attention as well, with several tweaks added to the recommended changes. Due to these significant upgrades to the Guide, STEP 2.2.9.2 requires a new game save.

Three major mod changes, however, have come to this new version:
STEP 2.3.0 Overview
<ul><li><a href=http://wiki.step-project.com/Skyrim_Realistic_Overhaul>Skyrim Realistic Overhaul</a> was removed for reasons noted on the <a href=http://wiki.step-project.com/Changelog/2.2.9.1</a>Changelog</a>, which required a thorough revision of the STEP landscape. This has been largely led by <a href=http://forum.step-project.com/user/326-techangel85/>TechAngel85</a>, who has worked with authors from several mods to create the <a href=http://wiki.step-project.com/STEP_Texture_Compilation>STEP Texture Compilation</a>. In addition to the added weight taken up by <a href=http://wiki.step-project.com/Serious_HD>Serious HD</a>, this has resulted in a STEP landscape shaped by <a href=http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/37865>aMidianBorn Landscapes</a> by <a href=http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/users/571605>CaBaL</a>, <a href=http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/26269>Langleys Textures Workshop</a> by <a href=http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/users/5568390>Langely</a>, and <a href=http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/607 Skyrim HD</a> by <a href=http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/users/3101794>NebuLa</a> where Skyrim HD is providing the majority of the landscape textures.</li>
Our v2.3.0 major release is a step closer with the 2.2.9.2 release. Version 2.3.0 will be our first fully-supported iteration of STEP with Packs (optional mod compilations that follow a specific theme and function). Packs do not necessarily adhere to the STEP Mandate, so this will be of interest to more advanced modders or those that want to expound and/or improve upon the vanilla Skyrim experience.
<li>STEP has worked closely with <a href=http://forum.step-project.com/user/492-sparrowprince/>SparrowPrince</a> to create <a href=http://wiki.step-project.com/The_Ruffled_Feather The Ruffled Feather</a> mod compilation of all his work, which also has a helpful ''Install for STEP'' option that makes installation easier.</li>

<strong>STEP 2.3.0 Overview</strong>
We cannot present too much detail for 2.3.0 at this time, since we are still in the planning/development stages, but it will represent the next major evolution of STEP. What's more is that 2.3.0 will not abandon the ideology of the STEP Mandate or significantly change STEP so much as it will mark the beginning of the expansion of STEP beyond the vanilla Mandate. Thus, the next iteration will bring many more options in addition to the enhanced vanilla experience for which STEP has come to be known.

Subject: STEP v2.2.9.2 Released
Dear {member_name},

STEP v2.2.9.2 has been released! Navigate to https://stepmodifications.org/wiki/STEP:Guide to view the guide and check out the changelog [ https://stepmodifications.org/wiki/Changelog/2.2.9.2 ] for details on how to update. Minor subversion 2.2.9.2 is an Incremental Mod Update for Interim Release #3. So while there are no drastic changes to the STEP Guide, we have again fine-tuned the STEP setup to bring you a fluid mod list to enhance the beauty and feel of Skyrim.

STEP 2.3.0 Overview
Our v2.3.0 major release is a step closer with the 2.2.9.2 release. Version 2.3.0 will be our first fully-supported iteration of STEP with Packs (optional mod compilations that follow a specific theme and function). Packs do not necessarily adhere to the STEP Mandate, so this will be of interest to more advanced modders or those that want to expound and/or improve upon the vanilla Skyrim experience.

STEP
