Run LOOT one final time before continuing. Prior to running LOOT again (installing new mods, removing mods, making changes to load order, etc.), disable everything below this warning first. Once done, re-enable each mod one at a time. Ensure that each one is not missing a master and/or consider any other changes and how they may affect the patches below (particularly the Dynamic Patches). If in doubt, rebuild the patch(es).
SSEEdit
- TOOL
LOOT may have identified mods that need their masters sorted (Prvtl_HeavyArmory.esp and SL01AmuletsSkyrim.esp for example). To do this, run SSEEdit through MO2 with the full load order selected. Find any plugins identified as needing to have their masters sorted by LOOT in the left pane. For each, [Right-Click] and select [Sort Masters (to match current load order)]. Exit xEdit, saving the plugins.
WARNING
Do not use LOOT past this point. If updating and LOOT is needed, deactivate mods below, run LOOT, then reactivate in the order provided.PART 0: Final Steps
Step 1: Dynamic Patches
Loot Overhaul - Rarity and Abundance (SkyRem Loot)

Smash Patch

The Smash Patch will resolve many of the conflicts present at this point.
Start Mator Smash: 1. Create an empty mod named Smash Patch. Activate it and add it to the Mator Smash executable under the Create files in mod instead of overwrite (*) field. 2. Run Mator Smash through MO2. In the pop-up window, select the [Skyrim SE] icon and click [OK]. Ensure all mods are selected in the next window, and click [OK].
Setup Tags: 1. Click the [Plugins] tab, highlight every mod with the exception of the Skyrim.esm at the top. 2. Right-click any mod while they are all highlighted, and select [Add to patch] and [<New Patch>]. 3. Change NewPatch in both fields to Smash Patch and click [OK]. 4. Leave the default setting for mods that are already set with tags. 5. Change the setting of mods without a tag (Skip) by right-clicking >> [Smash Settings] >> [Smash] >> [Smash.All].
Special Tags: 1. Find AlchemyAdjustments.esp in the left pane. Change the Setting (tag) to [Smash.ForceAll]. 2. Find SkyRem Loot.esp at the bottom of the left pane. Change the Setting (tag) to [Smash.OverrideAll].
Create Smash Patch: 1. With all the tags set, create the patch by clicking [Build patches] (hammer icon). 2. When done, exit Mator Smash. 3. [Refresh] MO2, and check that the new Smash Patch mod has been populated (should contain a plugin). 4. Activate the Smash Patch.esp plugin at the bottom of the right pane.
Nemesis
- TOOL
- Plugins: 1 ESP
The Nemesis Engine will patch the entire load order for animations.
1. Create an empty mod named Nemesis Output. Activate it and add it to the Nemesis executable under the Create files in mod instead of overwrite (*) field. 2. Run Nemesis Engine through MO2. Click [OK] to any warnings received. Click [Update Engine] and wait for any update(s). 3. Select the following Mods in the top box: - Sky Idles - SkySA - TK Dodge RE / Ultimate Combat (WIP) 4. Click [Launch Nemesis Behavior Engine]. Once Behavior generation completed appears in the bottom pane, close Nemesis (the green bar may never "finish"). 5. [Refresh] MO2, and check that the new Nemesis Output mod has been populated (should contain a plugin, meshes, and scripts). 6. Activate the FNIS.esp plugin at the bottom of the right pane.
SkyRem Synthesis Settings

Synthesis Patch

Synthesis will further patch the load order, and apply functions of selected mods consistently without the need for individual patches.
1. Create an empty mod named Synthesis Patch. Activate it and add it to the Synthesis executable under the Create files in mod instead of overwrite (*) field. 2. Run [Synthesis] through MO2. 3. Get the following patchers from the Git Repository (the first symbol next to the + in the upper-left): - AI-Overhaul-Patcher - AmmoTweaks - AmuletsShowOnEverything - AOSISCSoundPatcher - CellEditorIDFixer - CellEncounterLevelsInName - DisplaySpellTomeLevelPatcher - ExperienceMutagenPatcher - facefixer - SynFloraFix (FloraFixer) - khajiitearsshow - KnowYourArmorPatcher - Missing-Encounter-Zones-Patcher - MortalEnemies - nodragonlods - NpcProtector - oppositeanimationdisabler - spellabsorbfix - Unique Region Names Patcher - WaterDoesDamagePatcher 4. With all of the above patchers selected (checkmark to the left of each), click the [Run] button at the bottom. 5. [Refresh] MO2, and check that the new Synthesis Patch mod has been populated (should contain a plugin). 6. Activate the Synthesis Patch.esp plugin at bottom of the right pane.

xLODGen Resource - SSE Terrain Tamriel

Note: Only activate this mod when running xLODGen (next step). Deactivate when xLODGen is complete prior to moving on to TexGen.
xLODGen
- TOOL
Note: This process can take a while. Anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours.
1. Create an empty mod named xLODGen Output. Activate it and add it to the xLODGen executable under the Create files in mod instead of overwrite (*) field. 2. Activate Tamriel Terrain in the let pane, and move the ESM file to the top of the right pane. 3. Run [xLODGen] through MO2. 4. In the left pane, right-click and [Select All]. In the right pane, only select [Terrain LOD] (Objects and Trees will be handled by the other tools). 5. In the Terrain Lod box, use the following settings: LOD4: Quality 0, Build Diffuse Size 512, Build Normal Size 512, Format (both) BC7 Max, Check Protect Borders LOD8: Quality 2, Build Diffuse Size 512, Build Normal Size 512, Format (both) BC7 Max, Optimize Unseen On LOD16: Quality 4, Build Diffuse Size 256, Build Normal Size 256, Format (both) BC7 Max, Optimize Unseen On LOD32: Quality 4, Build Diffuse Size 256, Build Normal Size 256, Format (both) BC7 Max, Optimize Unseen 550 6. Set [Default size: Diffuse] and [Normal] both to 256, check [Bake normal-maps], and uncheck both [MipMaps]. 7. Click [Generate]. When you receive the LOD Generator: finished, close xLODGen. 8. [Refresh] MO2, and check that the new xLODGen Output mod has been populated (should contain meshes and textures).
TexGen
- TOOL
1. Deactivate Tamriel Terrain. 2. Create an empty mod named TexGen Output. Activate it and add it to the TexGen executable under the Create files in mod instead of overwrite (*) field. 3. Run [TexGen] through MO2. 4. Check [Stitched Object LOD Textures] and [Rendered Object LOD Textures], and set both to 256 (1440p). 5. Check [Tree / Grass LOD Billboards], and in this section check only [Tree], [HD Tree], and [Rendered]). 6. Adjust the settings in each section as follows: [Units per pixel] = 11.0; [Texture size Min] = 32; [Max] = 1024. [Tree]: Direct = 150; Ambient = 60 [HD Tree]: Direct = 150; Ambient = 60; Smoothness = 0 [Rendered]: Direct = 125; Ambient = 100; Smoothness = 0 7. Ensure the final four boxes are all set to Default (BC7 Quick). 8. Click [Start]. When done, [Exit] TexGen. 9. [Refresh] MO2, and check that the new TexGen Output mod has been populated (should contain textures).
DynDOLOD
- TOOL
Plugins: 1 ESM, 1 ESP, 1 ESL
1. Create an empty mod named DynDOLOD Output. Activate it and add it to the DynDOLOD executable under the Create files in mod instead of overwrite (*) field. 2. Run [DynDOLOD] through MO2. 2. Click [Advanced>>>]. 3. Ensure all options in the upper-left box are selected. In the upper-right, click [High], and ensure both [Candles] and [FXGlow] are selected. 4. Under [Options] (bottom box), select [Ultra] (this will de-select [Tree LOD]. 5. Check all other options except: [Prefer base record LOD...], [Upgrade NearGrid...], and both [Fake lights...] options. 6. Set the remaining options as follows: - [Max tile size LOD] = 512 - [Max tile size full] = 256 - [Billboard brightness] = 0 - [Max tile size billboard] = 512 - [NearGridToLoad] = 11 - [FarGridToLoad] = 21 - [Quality] = 2 and 10 - [Height] = 500 7. Click [OK]. When done, [Exit] DynDOLOD 8. [Refresh] MO2, and check that the new DynDOLOD Output mod has been populated (should contain plugins, meshes, and textures). 9. Activate the DynDOLOD.esm, DynDOLOD.esp, and Occlusion.esp at the bottom of the right pane. Move the DynDOLOD.esm to the top of the load order.

STARTUP
Part A: Starting New Game
It is finally time. Start a new game and create your character (Race, Gender, and Appearance). Once done, it will take a few minutes for all of the mods to register and the game to setup. Stay in the startup cell and monitor the notifications to ensure nothing unusual occurs (something not found, something did not load properly, errors, etc.) As these notifications run, several mods will have windows that pop-up and await input (may appear in a different order, but mine show as follows):
Installed Pay Your Dues: Select [OK] Dealing with Daedra: Your choice to [Enable] or [Disable]
Several mods will complete a startup Quest as well, such as:

Part B: MCM Setup
Once the notification menu in the upper left corner is quiet, run the MCM Recorder:
1) Navigate to the Mod Configuration Menu (MCM Menu). 2) Locate and select [MCM Recorder]. 3) Select [SkyRem_9_0_0] and follow the prompts to exit the MCM. 4) Select [Run Recording] and allow MCM Recorder to set up the majority of MCMs.
This handles all the MCMs not listed below, which need to be configured manually. Wait until MCM Recorder has completed, then move on to setting up the final MCMs.

Part C: Begin Your Adventure
Talk to The Messenger to choose your start. Search the room for equipment if you choose, then exit the room to get started.
Once in game, complete the following:
Select a deity (Wintersun), if you choose to, in the pop-up. Use the Set Attributes power to assign your attributes (which can then be viewed in the Attribute Values MCM. Use the Reflect power to choose your background. Utilize the SkyRem Races MCM finalize character creation

CLOSING THOUGHTS
Play
I hope you have enjoyed the journey as you are now ready to begin a new one - playing. The tricky part is turning off the "modding switch" and immerse yourself in the game. It is easy to get caught up in the cycle of mod, test, update, add mod, remove mod, test, update, etc. without ever being able to complete a game. If you are here... do not look for updates or more mods. Play. I have began taking notes as I play for things I would like to add/remove/change, and focus on that the next go round. Otherwise it would be never ending.
