Mator Smash

Installation

Mator Smash is a standalone application. It can installed in the game's root folder or in a separate folder if that is preferred.

  1. Download Mator Smash from GitHub.
  2. Extract the contents to a desired location.
    • Additional steps for Mod Organizer users:
      1. Open the Executables menu and type Mator Smash into the Title text field.
      2. Click [...] next to the Binary text field and locate the "Mator Smash.exe", then click [Open].
      3. In the arguments text field, profiles can be added to skip the profile splash screen on startup.
        • The argument is "-profile <ProfileName>", without quotations. i.e. -profile SkyrimProfile
      4. Click [Add], then [Close].
      5. Start Mator Smash through MO and click [OK].
      6. Goto the Settings and select the Integration tab.
      7. Tick the "I'm using Mod Organizer" checkbox, then add the MO folder for the "Mod Organizer path" field and click [OK].
      8. Close Mator Smash.
      9. It is now ready to use with MO.

Plugins Tab

The plugins tab is where smash settings and patches are applied to the plugins loaded by Mator Smash. Only active plugins are loaded by Mator Smash when the application is started.

Create New Patch
  1. Select "Create New Patch" icon from the top left.
  2. Type the name of the new patch and the new patch's ESP.
    • The first text field will be the name of the mod folder for MO users.
Apply Patch
  1. Right click on a plugin, goto "Add to Patch", and select a patch from the list.
    • If a plugin already has an assigned patch, it must be removed before a new patch can be added.
    • Hold ctrl and click plugins to select multiple plugins, or hold shift and click plugins to select groups.
Apply Smash Settings
  1. Right click on a plugin, goto "Smash Setting", and select a setting from the list.
    • Hold ctrl and click plugins to select multiple plugins, or hold shift and click plugins to select groups.

Smash Settings

Smash settings tell Mator Smash what records to patch and how to patch them.

Create Smash Settings

  1. Click the tool icon on the menu bar.
  2. Right click on the settings window and select "New setting".
  3. In the lower right panel, right click "Records" goto "Add", then select a record type.
  4. Expand the record type to reveal all the sub-records, then tick the sub-records that will be apart of the setting.
  5. In the top right text field type a name, then select a color to distinguish the setting.
    • To add a setting to a group give it a name and color that will be used by other similar settings and use that as a prefix followed by a period. ex: Bash.<SettingName>
  6. Click [Save] and close the window.

The new setting can now be added to a plugin. Right click any plugin, goto "Smash Setting", and choose the new setting.

Combine Smash Settings

  1. Click the tool icon on the menu bar.
  2. Hold ctrl and click all the settings that will be combined into one new setting.
  3. Right click one of the highlighted settings and select "Combine settings".
    • If there is an additional menu asking about merging record types, select [OK].
  4. In the top right text field type a name, then select a color to distinguish the setting.
    • To add a setting to a group give it a name and color that will be used by other similar settings and use that as a prefix followed by a period. ex: Bash.<SettingName>
    • Additionally, combined settings can be made for specific plugins, a group such as 'Mod' or 'Plugin' can be created to apply the setting more easily. ex: Mod.<ModName>
  5. Click [Save] and close the window.

The new combined setting can now be added to a plugin. Right click any plugin, goto "Smash Settings, and choose the new setting.

Create Setting Groups

  1. Click the tool icon on the menu bar.
  2. Either choose an existing setting or right click the settings panel and select "New setting"
  3. Groups are formed by the name of the setting itself
  4. To create any group begin the name of the Smash setting with a prefix followed by a period. i.e. Plugin.<Setting Name>, Bash.<Setting Name>
    • Bash settings are treated as Bash Tags and can be added to the plugin's file header from the main window.
