Version Recommendations - 1.1
The Method
These instructions are for users desiring to follow The Method with this guide.
- Sort with LOOT.
- Launch xEdit VQSC.
- Create a ModGroup to hide conflicts handled by a downstream custom patch between Thaylar Lighting 3.2 - Big Edition.esp and FO4FixesAndTweaksByAurelianis.esp.
- Thaylar Lighting 3.2 - Big Edition + FO4FixesAndTweaksByAurelianis.esp
- CTRL + click ONLY Thaylar Lighting 3.2 - Big Edition.esp and FO4FixesAndTweaksByAurelianis.esp to select them.
- Right click → Create ModGroup...
- Click [Yes] at the prompt to include CRC32s.
- It is best to follow a consistent naming scheme of the final plugin + the previous plugins.
- We will accomplish this by selecting Thaylar Lighting 3.2 - Big Edition.esp and using the key combo Ctrl + n to quickly copy the final plugin name.
- Add a plus sign (+) and add the previous plugin name(s) by using Ctrl + c and Ctrl + v shortcuts.
- The final resulting name should then be
Thaylar Lighting 3.2 - Big Edition + FO4FixesAndTweaksByAurelianis.esp
- Select Thaylar Lighting 3.2 - Big Edition.esp and click [OK]
- Ensure all ModGroups are ticked, then click [OK].
- Thaylar Lighting 3.2 - Big Edition + FO4FixesAndTweaksByAurelianis.esp
- Right-click anywhere in the left pane and select [Apply Filter to show Conflicts].
- Make a conflict resolution patch between FO4FixesAndTweaksByAurelianis.esp and community fixes merged.esp.
community fixes merged.esp \ Outfit \ 0002186E <Wastelander02withHood>- Right-click the record and select [Copy As Override Into...].
- Scroll down and tick
<new file>.esp [Template] Light. - Click [OK].
- Name the patch

- Scroll down and tick FO4FixesAndTweaksByAurelianis - CFM Patch.esp.
- Click [OK].

- Scroll down and tick FO4FixesAndTweaksByAurelianis - CFM Patch.esp.
- Click [OK].

- Click [OK].
- Add FO4FixesAndTweaksByAurelianis.esp and community fixes merged.esp as masters
- Right-click FO4FixesAndTweaksByAurelianis - CFM Patch.esp and select [Add Masters].
- Tick FO4FixesAndTweaksByAurelianis.esp and community fixes merged.esp and click [OK].
- Adding these masters ensures proper load order of the patch is maintained.
- Right-click FO4FixesAndTweaksByAurelianis - CFM Patch.esp and select [Sort Masters (to match current load order)].
- Make a conflict resolution patch between FO4FixesAndTweaksByAurelianis.esp and unofficial fallout 4 patch.esp.

- Scroll down and tick
