Tool Installation
  1. Make a new folder called Cathedral Assets Optimizer in your ..\Modding\Tools\ directory you made while following the System Setup Guide.
  2. Extract the latest MAIN file to the newly created ..\Modding\Tools\Cathedral Assets Optimizer directory.
  3. Run Cathedral Assets Optimizer.exe
  4. Click [OK] at the prompt.
  5. Beside the [Profile] dropdown, click the [New] button.
  6. Click [OK] at the prompt.
  7. Name the profile Step Fallout 4 Profile or similar and click [OK].
  8. Set the Base Profile to FO4 and click [OK].
  9. In the BSA tab, ensure that the following are ticked:
    • Extract BSA
    • Create BSA
    • Delete backups [This deletes the backups of the original BA2 archives upon completion and is recommended to save storage space.]
    • Delete source files [Be aware that this deletes the source files that are packed.]
    • Create dummy plugins
    • Allow compression
    • Separate textures BSA
  10. In the Textures tab, ensure that the following are set:
    • Necessary optimization
    • Generate mipmaps
  11. Close Cathedral Assets Optimizer.

It is recommended to create a shortcut on the desktop for ease of access.

Usage

This tool is used to modify various mods as noted throughout the guide by following the General usage instructions.
