Game Fixes[edit | edit source]
These are mods which provide vital fixes to buggy game elements. At this time, users should have already created the marker for this section and installed the first mod of the guide. All mods in this section should be placed under the Game Fixes marker, in the order they are listed, leaving the Unofficial Patch at the top. Unless specific instructions are given, all mods are installed in the same manner as users were shown above. This holds true for all the following mod sections.
1st Person Candlelight Fix[edit | edit source]

- Description
- Fixes the brightness of the candlelight spell in first-person view to equal the brightness in third-person view.
Installation
- Download the main file and install the mod.
Consistent Older People[edit | edit source]

- Description
- Ensures NPCs who are meant to be old have a matching old body and face appearance.
Installation
- Download the main file and install the mod.
Cutting Room Floor[edit | edit source]

- Description
- Restores content that was either cut from the game, let out, or was unfinished.
Installation
- Download the main file and install the mod.
Improved Closefaced Helmets[edit | edit source]

- Description
- Updates the meshes for helmets to allow NPC/PC faces to be seen through the open parts of the helmet.
Installation
- Download the main file and install the mod.
SSE Fixes[edit | edit source]

- Description
- This mod corrects an issue in the engine code which causes performance issues when loading a lot of plugins.
- Installation Note
- This is a manually installed mod! Do not use WB to install it or it will not be installed correctly. Follow the instructions!
Installation
- Download DLL Plugin Loader.
- Use the instructions on the mod page to install this mod. They're simple enough that I shouldn't need to spell them out here.
- Download the main file from the SSE Fixes mod page.
- Extract the archive to your Data folder:
...Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\ - Users should now have the DLLPlugins folder in their Data folder:
...Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\DLLPlugins\
Unlimited Bookshelves[edit | edit source]

- Description
- This mod allows players to place any number of items on bookshelves, not just books. The main reason for it's inclusion is because I'm a hoarder when it comes to books in the game. Unlimited Bookshelves allows as many books to fit on a single shelf as will bit, whereas in vanilla the player is limited to a set number. This is one of those mods that adds realism to the game.
- Usage Note
- Some bookshelves that have bookshelf menus will not be set up properly with collision planes, thus allowing players to grab items directly from these bookshelves. This can cause issues, so players are highly discouraged from doing this. If the bookshelf has a menu, use it.
Installation
- Download the main file and install the mod.
XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended - XPMSSE[edit | edit source]

- Description
- This is a skeleton raplacer which enables more compatibility with other mods and fixes a lot of issues.
Installation
- Download the main file and place it in the Bash Installers folder.
- Select the following sub-packages:
- 01 Skeleton Rig XPMSSE BBP
- 07 XPMSSE - BFQ
- 07 XPMSSE - BFQ - 1st Person
- 08 BFQ
- 09 (Select all of them)
- 10 XPMSSE
- Install the mod.
