EssArrBee's Additional Weapons

This page covers some additional weapons that have no other place. They are great mods that should get consideration from any user. This page will change over time since it is EssArrBee's personal preference. Merging instructions are included.

  • ANNOUNCEMENT: There are now two sets of merging instructions, one for easy access to some of the weapons in the list and a second for users that don't want free stuff. M24E1 will be the only weapon that is still free since it is not added to the game in any other way, but there is optional instructions at the end of the no cheat version to hide that mod in ADAM.

  • NOTE FOR RETURNING USER: Redoing the merging of any mods will remove the items from these mods from the player character's or follower's inventories.
AK-105 Assault Rifle

  • Installation: Get the AK-105 Assault Rifle main file and the AK-105 Assault Rifle TWMM optional file, when installing the optional file, click [Merge], not [Replace].

Modern AK for all the Russian gun nuts out there.

Crossbow for the Wasteland

  • Note: This mod causes a drop in framerate in GoodSprings. Deleting the Worldspace record from the plugin has been proposed as a solution, but the Worldspace record is needed for reference in the scripts. The mod cannot be merged without the Worldspace record intact. See No Cheat merging instructions for a solution.

Archery would probably be used much more throughout the Fallout universe considering all the resources needed to make ammunition.

Tactical Flamer Revamp

  • Installation: Get the Tactical Flamer Revamp - Base main file and the Tactical Flamer Revamp - Updated esp updates file. When installing the update file click [Merge], not [Replace].

After installation, go to the "Archives" tab on the right pane of MO.
Right click the Tactical Flamer Revamp.bsa and click "Extract...", navigate to the "Tactical Flamer Revamp" mod folder in the "...Mod Organizer/mods/" folder and click [Select Folder].
Double click "Tactical Flamer Revamp" in the left pane of MO and select the "Filetree" tab.
Right click on the Tactical Flamer Revamp.bsa and select "Hide".

The Prodigy approves the use of this gun anytime, anywhere.

TAR-3 Tesla Assault Rifle

  • Installation: Get the Tar3MainFile and the Patchfile 01 and Patchfile 02 updates files. Follow these instructions:
During the install of the main file, expand 'TAR3' and right click 'Data' then select "Set data directory".
Install the Patchfile 01, click [Merge], not [Replace].
Install the Patchfile 02, click [Merge], not [Replace].

This mod has a wild edit, follow these instructions:

Open FNVEdit through MO
Right click the list of mods and "Select None"
Now tick TAR3gun.esp and click [OK]
When FNVEdit is done loading, expand TAR3gun.esp->Weapon
Right click the 0015837B - Gauss Rifle record and select "Remove".
This plugin also needs to be cleaned with FNVEdit, so it can be kept open while performing the instructions below. Otherwise, close FNVEdit and save.

LOOT reports that a plugin from this mod needs cleaning with FNVEdit:

Automatic assault weapon for energy weapon users.

The Tesla Rifle

  • Note: This gun has an issue with the two handed rifle animation from WAR when using the ironsights, so attach the scope with the weapon. A solution will be found soon.

  • Installation: Get the preferred resolution, the Mid res pack main file is recommended.

Heavy weapon with ridiculous amounts of power. Way overpowered, but by the time enough money is earned to buy this from the Van Graffs it will be needed for higher level enemies. Suggest taking it to Boulder for the Death Squad.

VT-191 Murdelizer

  • Installation: This mod has a wild edit, follow these instructions:
Open FNVEdit through MO
Right click the list of mods and "Select None"
Now tick Murderlizer.esp and click [OK]
When FNVEdit is done loading, expand Murderlizer.esp->Cell
Right click the Block 1 record and select "Remove".
This plugin also needs to be cleaned with FNVEdit, so it can be kept open while performing the instructions below. Otherwise, close FNVEdit and save.

This gun is amazing. The dot sight is awesome, the texture is awesome, the effects are awesome. Very high powered, but hard to get it from HeliosONE.

Merging Instructions

There are two versions of the merging instructions because many of the weapons are placed in easy to reach places, for example in Doc Mitchell's house. There are two versions of the merging instructions, the first set (Cheat) is just merging of plugins and the second set (No Cheat) has merging of plugins and removal of the easy to get weapons.

Merging Additional Weapons Cheat
  1. Open FNVEdit through MO.
  2. Right click the list of mods and "Select None".
  3. Now tick the following mods and click [OK]:
    • AK-105 Assault Rifle NV.esp
    • Crossbow.esp
    • MCL_Pre_warXbow.esp
    • M24E1.esp
    • MasonJarMine.esp
    • MNK-RHINOgaussRevolver.esp
    • Tactical Flamer Revamp.esp
    • TAR3gun.esp
    • TeslaRifle.esp
    • R700.esp
    • NV SuperRailRifle.esp
    • THOR.esp
    • Murderlizer.esp
  4. After FNVEdit loads, right click on "AK-105 Assault Rifle NV.esp" and select "Apply Script".
    1. From the top dropdown select Merge Plugins v1.9 and click [OK].
    2. In the Merge Plugins pop up, tick all the plugins listed above and click [OK].
    3. In the next pop up click [OK], then give the merged plugin a name and click [OK]. SRB's Additional Weapons is recommended.
      • The merged plugin window may stay open. If that happens just close the window as long as it says the merge completed.
  5. Close FNVEdit and save ONLY the new plugin.
  6. The new mod now resides in the Overwrite folder, so right click and "Create Mod".
    • Name the folder "EssArrBee's Additional Weapons" and make sure it is listed right after VT-191 Murdelizer in the left pane.
  7. In the left pane of MO, untick all the mods that were merged from the list above.
Merging Additional Weapons No Cheat
  1. Open FNVEdit through MO.
  2. Right click the list of mods and "Select None".
  3. Now tick the following mods and click [OK]:

    • NOTE: It was good practice to close and reopen FNVEdit for this part
    1. Expand SRB's Additional Weapons.esp->Cell->Block 1->
    2. Right click on Sub-Block 4 and select "Remove"
    3. Now expand Block 9
    4. Right click Sub-Block 3 and select "Remove"
    5. Expand Worldspace->000DA726->Block 0, -1->Sub-Block 0, -2
    6. Right click on 0008434B - Novac and select "Remove"
    7. Still under Worldspace->000DA726->Block 0, -1, right click Sub-Block 0, -1 and select "Remove"
    8. Expand Worldspace->000DA726->Block -1, 0->Sub-Block -3, 0->000DAEB9->Temporary
    9. Right click on 06000AF2 - Placed Object - DasContainer and select "Remove"
  9. Close FNVEdit and save.
  10. Reopen FNVEdit, then right click the list of mods and "Select None", now tick "SRB's Additional Weapons.esp" and click [OK]
    1. In the left pane, expand SRB's Additional Weapons.esp->FormID List
    2. From the EditorID column, check CrossbowForms, MCL_Pre_warXbowForms, MNK-RHINOgaussRevolverForms, R700Forms, and TeslaRifleForms for errors
    3. In the right pane, each of the above FormID Lists should have errors in their list that look like: [FormID Here] < Error: Could not be resolved >
    4. Each of those errors should be removed, so right click on each one and select "Remove"
  11. Close FNVEdit and save
    • From here on, the instructions are optional. The intent is to add the M24E1 into the game without it being in a locker in the middle of Goodsprings. This is solely for those that do not wish to have a powerful weapon so early in the game.
  12. On the right pane in the plugins tab, move "SRB's Additional Weapons.esp" above "ADAM Complete.esp"
  13. Open FNVEdit, then right click the list of mods and "Select None", now tick "SRB's Additional Weapons.esp" and "ADAM Complete.esp", then click [OK]
    1. Right click "ADAM Complete.esp" and select "Add Masters..."
    2. Tick "SRB's Additional Weapons.esp" and click [OK]
    3. In the top left search field for Editor ID, type ADAMOutcastDEAD and hit [Enter]
    4. In the right pane, go to the section Items and find the entry for the Minigun
      1. Click the Minigun entry twice slowly, not a double click
      2. When the entry turns blue, type the letter 'z' and the dropdown should show zM24E1 listed
      3. Click the zM24E1 entry and hit [Enter]. FNVEdit will re-order the entries automatically.
      4. Now right click the LootAmmo5mm [LVLI:0006B541] entry and select "Edit"
      5. Paste in LootAmmo308 [LVLI:0006B542] and click [OK]
    5. Now in the left pane, expand SRB's Additional Weapons.esp->Worldspace->000DA726->Block -1, 0->Sub-Block -3, 0->000DAEB9->Temporary
      • There should be four records listed under Temporary, three will need to edited.
      1. Click the record with the Editor ID: zM24E1box "M24E1 Trunk (respawn)" [CONT:0A008A1F]
      2. In the right pane, right click the empty column next to Record Header->Record Flags and select "Edit"
      3. Tick "Initially Disabled" and click [OK]
      4. Right click the value next to DATA - Position/Rotation->Position->Z and click "Edit"
      5. Enter -30000 and click [OK]
    6. Repeat that same process for records with Editor IDs: MagazineNVLockpick "Locksmith's Reader" [ALCH:000EC4A8] and Mentats "Mentats" [ALCH:00015165]
  14. Close FNVEdit and save both plugins.
