Introduction and Summary

PLEASE NOTE THIS GUIDE IS FOR THOSE ALREADY FAMILIAR WITH NEOVALEN'S Skyrim Revisited: Legendary Edition I STRONGLY ADVISE TO INSTALL THAT FIRST BEFORE INSTALLING THIS.

First things first. I must acknowledge that this guide would not exist without the hard work of Neovalen and his excellent Skyrim Revisited Legendary Edition. This guide uses that as a base.

SRLE Extended: Legacy of The Dragonborn is an addon pack created by Darth_mathias and DarkladyLexy with help from the STEP Community for Neovalen's Skyrim Revisited Legendary Edition.

Author's System

• Processor: i5 4670K @ 4.5 GHz
• Motherboard: Asus z97-K
• Ram: Corsair Vengence Pro 32GB (4x8GB) @2133MHz
• GPU: Zotac GTX 980Ti 6GB
• OS: (Windows 7) WD Green 2TB
• Games: Samsung 850 EVO 256GB (Steam)
• Games: Kingston Hyperx Fury 128GB SSD (GOG and Origins)
• Games Backup: WD Blue 2TB

Getting Started

1. Make Sure you have Installed and tested a base SRLE
2. In Mod Organizer, go to profiles. Copy the existing SRLE profile to a new profile named SRLE - Extended. Ensure you are working with this newly created profile.
3. Rename the following mod folders in the left pane of MO: DynDOLOD - TexGen Output --> DynDOLOD TexGen Output SRLE Original; DynDOLOD World Output --> DynDOLOD World Output SRLE Original.
4. Disable the following mod folders in the left pane of MO: DynDOLOD TexGen Output SRLE Original, DynDOLOD World Output SRLE Original, SRLE Profile (this is the folder where Neo has you copy the contents of the overwrite folder to at end of his guide).
5. create the following mod folders in the left pane of MO: DynDOLOD TexGen Output - SRLE Extended - LoTDB, DynDOLOD World Output - SRLE Extended - LoTDB, SRLE Extended - LoTDB Profile.
6. Ensure you have NO mods in the overwrite folder before starting to install SRLE Extended - LoTDB.

Steam Overlay

The Steam Overlay is known to cause issues while playing Skyrim it is advised to disable it; to do this perform the following:

1. Load Steam.
2. In the Tool bar at the top of the left hand side Click Steam.
3. In the Dropdown menu Click Settings.
4. Then in the popup box find where it says In-Game.
5. Uncheck Enabled the Steam overlay while in-game then click OK.

Additional Tools

Automation Tools for TES5Edit

Mod Notes: Automation Tools is a package of scripts for use with TES5Edit. These scripts allow you to perform batch modifications, generate records, or create useful reports. Automation Tools is a must have for modders old and new, as the scripts included can save truly massive amounts of time. With Automation Tools, edits that would once take hundreds of hours can be completed in mere minutes.

Special Installation:

• Unzip the archive.
• Copy and paste the contains into the TES5Edit folder eg for me its J:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Tools\TES5Edit overwrite any needed files.

Boris's VRamSizeTest Tool

Users should download and run Boris's VRamSizeTest tool. Run the VRamSizeDX9.exe. Windows 7 users subtract 170 from the value provided and use that value. Windows 8/10 users subtract 350 and use that value.

Recommended Usage:

• Run the VRamSizeDX9.exe you will get a message saying Video memory available (MB) ...... whatever the number say
• Windows 7 users subtract 170 from the value provided and use that value. Windows 8/10 users subtract 350 and use that value.

Example my own system:

1. Video memory available = 12992
2. I run Windows 7 so subtract 170
3. Therefore: 12992-170=12752
4. So total Video memory available = 12752

now open ENBlocal.ini and place your result here VideoMemorySizeMb=whatever your result was:

So for me it was

• ReservedMemorySizeMb=896 (THIS NUMBER WILL LIKELY BE DIFFERENT FOR EVERYONE'S SYSTEM. START AT 512 IF STUTTERING OCCURS INCREASE BY 128 UNTIL IT STOPS OR IS MINIMAL DON'T GO OVER 1024
• VideoMemorySizeMb=12752

Skyrim Project INI (spINI) Version 2.6

This program was created by DoubleYou (The S.T.E.P. resident INI Master). Skyrim Project INI (spINI for short) is an attempt to restore decency to the Skyrim INI configuration files.

Recommended usage:

1. Run spINI.exe Outside of MO and make sure it is closed otherwise changes wont take effect
2. Mod Organizer users should go to the Setup tab within spINI and select the profile they wish to use via the INI Path setting. Your profiles should be autodetected.
3. Under the Basic tab Click the DEFAULT BUTTON. This will refresh your INI files to the default settings for your system, with minimal tweaks.
4. Under the Basic tab Click the ULTRA PRESET.
5. Under the Basic Tab Click the Windowed Mode (THIS IS ONLY NEEDED IF USING ONE TWEAK)
6. Under the Basic tab make sure Anisotropic Filtering is set to NONE.
7. Under the Basic tab make sure ENB MODE is CHECKED
8. Under the General tab make sure Intro Logos is UNCHECKED.
9. Under the General tab make sure Disable Tutorials is CHECKED.
10. Under the General Tab Make sure Post-Load Update Time is 2000.
11. Under the Detail Tab make sure Reflect Sky is CHECKED.
12. Under the Detail Tab make sure Field of View is set to 85.00.
13. Under the Detail Tab make sure Shadow Resolution is set to 2048.
14. Under the Detail Tab make sure Sun-Shadow Update Time is set to 0.
15. Under the Detail Tab make sure Sun-Shadow Update Threshold is set to 2.0.
16. Under the Basic Tab Click the Save and Exit button.

1. Click the Gears icon in the top left of Mod Organizer.
2. Click on SKSE.
3. Add the Following to the Arguments: "-forcesteamloader".
4. Click Modify Button.
5. Click the Close button.

Mod Installation

Please review Integrating SRLE Extended: Legacy of The Dragonborn With Skyrim Revisited: Legendary Edition to see how to integrate SRLE Extended: Legacy of The Dragonborn mods with the SRLE Base.

Best advice when installing SRLE Extended: Legacy of The Dragonborn is to test after each section, if you CTD or ILS after a section then you know something needs adjusting.
