Prerequisites
Create a new Mod Organizer profile first. On how to do this revisit this page -> Prerequisites Page in the section "Create The SRLE LOTD Reqtified Profile". Name the new profile as you want, for example "SRLE Reqtified & Beautified".
Make sure you load this new profile to work on.
Reorganizing the mod list
Next we need to disable the mods in the list below and send them to the bottom of your load order.
It is important to only disable for now and not remove. It is also important that you actually send the mods to the bottom of your load order so that you can later easily tell which mods to actually remove without having to go through the list below again.
To send the mods to the bottom of my load order I enter 700 as the priority number for each mod as I disable it. The number 700 is a totally arbitrary number larger than the total number of mods currently installed.
Disable the following mods:
aMidianBorn - Content Addon aMidianBorn Book of Silence (All 5 mods) aMidianBorn Imperial Forts Animated Clutter Coverkhajiits CL's Ebony Weapon Replacer LECM - Embers HD LECM - Pilgrims Delight LECM - Real Roads for Skyrim LECM - Static Mesh Improvement Mod Noble Skyrim Noble Skyrim - SMIM Patch Skyrim Skill Interface Re-Texture The Ruffled Feather The Ruffled Feather - Enhanced Distant Terrain
Install SMC
[Skyrim Mod Combiner]
Mod Notes: The description of this entire page should be read as it explains in great detail how to properly use the application, what the various colors mean, etc.
Configure SMC ini file:
settings.ini
BSAoptUnpack = 1 ForceEnableDLC = 1 EditorMode = 1
Also I suggest changing the temp folder to use another drive than C:
TempDir = [New Path] Example: D:\SMC Texture Pack\temp
TIPS for choosing texture size
Determine whether you want to use SMC Lite or the full SMC installation SMC Lite should be useable on a 2GB video card if you limit yourself appropriately on texture sizing.
SMC Lite is activated by double clicking the SMC Launcher and then holding down CTRL on your keyboard while it's loading. You should receive a dialog box asking you which version of SMC you wish to use.
With the setup below (not using SMC Lite) I'm currently hitting around 5.7GB vram consumed at the most vram hungry places in the game. Having said that I've also chosen many HQ options and several UQ options in SMC.
You should be able to be comfortable on a 4GB card with the full SMC as long as you stick primarily to MQ and splash HQ when it matters to you. Rule of thumb... things that are massive such as Mountains, Giants, Mammoths you should go 4K if possible. Interiors (especially caves) and monsters that generally only appear inside of interior's you can typically go 4K as well.
When choosing 4K always take the 4K/2K option if possible.. You save a lot of VRAM on the Normal but still get the most visible quality out of the Diffuse.
Landscape, armors and npcs are good candidates for 2K textures.
Small clutter and brickabrack can generally be kept around 512 to 1k
Try to avoid 8k Immersive Tomatos ;)
Downloading the mods on the list
Begin gathering all required mods. A list of mods NOT to download has been given below.
Some mods are no longer available on the Nexus but are EASILY found via an appropriately named google search... Some of these mods are crucial to the look and feel we're going for. Try to find them. There's a whole subreddit devoted to preserving... lost/removed/disabled mods for instance.
How to download the MODs:
Run SMC_Launcher.exe. After the program opens you will see a list of mods on the window that appears. Right-click on the first mod in the list and then click "Edit mod settings". On the window that appears you will see, under "Properties", what options are available for the respective mod as quality: UQ (Ultra Quality), HQ (High Quality), MQ (Medium Quality) and LQ (Low Quality). If there are multiple choices there will be colored in black. All colored in red are not available for this mod. Choose the quality you would like to have ingame based upon the suggestions above and your PC specs. The part you are interested in is the "Archives". Click on the XQ: Archives (X being the quality of choice) and you will see there what file or more than one files you need from the mod page. Make note of that. Some mods will need compatibility patches. At the bottom you will find "Compatibility Patches" section. If that is colored red then you wont need any for that mod. If it is colored black click on it and make note of the file you need from the mod page. Now go to the main SMC page. Right click on the mod again and this time click on "Proceed to mod download page". This will get you on the nexus page of the respective mod. Download ALL mods manually. Do NOT download with manager. Search on the mod page for the file requested on the "Archive" and if needed also from "Compatibility Patches". Place every file you download in the same folder. For example create a folder named SMC Texture Pack and download all files there from ALL mods. Do NOT extract the archives, rename or modify in any way. Leave them exactly how are named from the mod page. SMC will need the exact name for the files so that they can be found.
The next list is to be excluded from download. Skip them.
MODs excluded from download:

Combining the mods
After you got the entire mod list, except the ones we said to exclude, into your "SMC Texture Pack" folder we need now to run the combiner.
Go to the first mod in your list. Right click on it and then click "Specify archived or extracted mod path" and go to the place where you placed the folder "SMC Textures Pack" that contains all the mod files downloaded archives. Now this mod should get a background color: What do the different colors indicate with the mods?
Background color notifications for specified paths: [Red] - no extracted or archived mods found [Green] - only extracted mod found [Blue] - only archived mod found [Yellow] - extracted and archived mod found [Dark Gray] - only unsupported archived mod found [Light Gray] - this mod was already combined during current session
Text color notifications for mods: [Brown] - mod contains scripts [Orange] - mod contains ESP [Purple] - mod contains both scripts & ESP
Next right click on the first mod again and this time click "Specify path "D:\SMC Textures Pack\" for the rest" (This "D:\SMC Textures Pack\" needs to be replaced with what path you chose for the folder where you placed all the mod archives you downloaded) Now all mods in that SMC list will get colors depending on what they contain as specified above. Next right click on any colored mod and click "Check all specified paths". All mods now should get a checkmark in front of them. You will notice now at bottom of the SMC window that Status is now set to "Presetting". The button "Begin Combining" in bottom right will now be active. Click it and specify an output folder (for example "SMC Output"). This will be the folder where the program will combine all the textures into. Inside this folder SMC program will create a folder named "SMC". Let SMC run (this will take some time depending on your machine). Do NOT interrupt. After it is finished CUT and PASTE the "SMC" folder into [Mod Organizer]\mods folder.
Cleaning the MODs in our left pane
After you moved the SMC Output folder into the mods folder in MO now we need to clean a bit few mods.
First delete from "SMC Output" folder the following esps:
83Willows_101Bugs_V4_HighRes.esp CL BladeofSacrifice.esp CL Nettlebane.esp Moss Rocks - Legendary.esp No_stretching.esp No_stretching_Markarth.esp Prometheus_No_snow_Under_the_roof.esp Prometheus_NSUTR BDS Patch.esp RAIN.esp RUSTIC SOULGEMS - Unsorted.esp (Don't delete if you use the YASH Guide)
Now we need to fix a wild edit into one esp in SMC Output:
Load TES5Edit with just RedMountainErupts.esp RedMountainErupts.esp \ Worldspace \ 0000003C <Tamriel> click on this record In the right pane Move the Nam9 - Max - X (62) and drag it into RedMountainErupts.esp overwriting the "96" entry Click "Yes am I sure..." Click the [X] in top right corner of TES5Edit and make sure the RedMountainErupts.esp is checked and hit [OK]. Now the esp is saved.
Move the following esps to the mod folder LECM - ESPs and Scripts Only and overwrite when asked:
Move "EmbersHD.esp" from "SMC Output" to "LECM - ESPs and Scripts Only" Move "PilgrimsDelight.esp" from "SMC Output" to "LECM - ESPs and Scripts only" Move "Real Roads.esp" from "SMC Output" to "LECM - ESPs and Scripts only" Move "SMIM-Merged-All.esp" from "SMC Output" to "LECM - ESPs and Scripts Only" Move "YALO_Actual_Volanic_Cliffs.esp" from "SMC Output" to "LECM - ESPs and Scripts Only" Move "YALO_Rock_Transition_Fix_Legendary.esp" from "SMC Output" to "LECM - ESPs and Scripts Only" Move "YALO_Rock_Transitions_Fix_BSA_Patch_Legendary.esp" from "SMC Output" to "LECM - ESPs and Scripts Only" Move "YALO_SMIM_Bridges_Landscape_Trim.esp" from "SMC Output" to "LECM - ESPs and Scripts Only"

Removing conflicting files
We need to remove some files from the mods we already have installed from the main guide so that they will not overwrite SMC Output from the following mods. I would recommend to hide these files in MO first just in case that you don't like the SMC addition, for some reason, or that you want to switch back to the main guide state:

Final Steps
Sort your load order as you did in the main guide. YASH Finish Line Page and Requiem Finish Line Page
Test the game. If your tests show everything to be ok and you want to stick with the beautified version of the guide then now it is safe to delete the previously disabled mods to save on disk space and unclutter mod organizer.
