New Vegas - Can't install Project Nevada with MO2.
GrantSP replied to Krongfah's question in Mod Organizer Support
I have recently upgraded my MO2 install and this error has been re-introduced. Not sure which revision did it but a report is made and the devs will look into it. If you are in a pinch you could use MO 1.3.11 to install that mod and then move the folder from MO1's mods folder to your MO2 install. Kludgy method that will get you up and running until MO2 is fixed. -
MO sends error on launch and when downloading
GrantSP replied to Wolfmod's question in Mod Organizer Support
I was under the assumption this was for MO2, my mistake. All the detail about %AppData% is only regarding MO2, MO stores all it needs in the one location. MO2 must NOT be installed directly into the game install, indeed it best practice for MO to likewise not be installed there. Create a brand new install somewhere completely different, it could even be on another drive if you wish. Most users create a folder system like C:\Games\Utils under which they install all the tools used for games; LOOT, xEdit & MO/MO2 etc. So for MO2 you could have C:\Games\Utils\MO2\ for your install and if you don't want to have it store information in %AppData% choose a "portable" install. Easiest way to remove MO from your install is just to delete the entire MO folder structure. However before doing so copy these folders to a safe place: mods, profiles and possibly downloads if you wish to save yourself some bandwidth later. Mods contains all the "installed" mods in the MO interface, ie. the left-hand pane. Profiles is the folder that defines how you have those mods setup for that specific profile, 'default' being the automatically created one on MO startup. Downloads is where all the archives you got from Nexus, or elsewhere, are stored. You can in fact safely delete all of these after installing them as they serve no purpose regarding the game. Many keep them though in case a mod goes missing for some reason from Nexus. Lastly MO2 is also an acceptable manager for Skyrim but it is a bit more complex in setting up. There are a few videos showcasing it now and it is in active development with many features and bugfixes happening. -
Does MO2 suppose Oblivion(Steam version)?
GrantSP replied to b860228b's question in Mod Organizer Support
Derp! That's what I get for not paying attention. I recently reinstalled Oblivion to test something else out and stupidly forgot to install OBSE. Thanks @GSDFan -

I just checked mine and I'm the same. Don't know when that was changed. I'll have to ask the devs about this as. -

Where ever you purchased that copy of OpenSSL I suggest you ask for an immediate refund. OpenSSL is, as its name suggests... open, and as such is free for all to use. Further MO/MO2 will never included proprietary software to enable functionality. Your logs of the installation and functioning of MO2 are located in a folder, which is normally hidden by Windows, and if you provide these we can further assist you if needed. The address is: %AppData%\Local\ModOrganizer\ and the files in the "logs" folder under the <gamename> will aid us in seeing what errors you are seeing. You can allow explorer to show hidden folders if you will and navigate to that folder. %AppData% is shorthand for: <main drive that Windows is installed to, usually C:>\Users\<your name>. e.g. that address on my machine is this: C:\Users\GrantSP\AppData\Local\ModOrganizer\Skyrim\logs\ As to the SSL issue it is due to another version of that software being used by your computer, usually by another programme that you have installed. As the link by @Greg shows we have encountered that numerous times and have provided the solution. If that is not working for you we would like to know the steps you have taken so we can further clarify them for future use. MO/MO2 is not dead, in fact it is developing into a full-featured manager for 32bit and 64bit games. All of the team do this in their spare time and are not being paid for it, remembering this will help to temper your angst when you encounter issues. That is not to say you shouldn't be frustrated, just remember to take a breather before taking any further steps. We're all here to assist if we can. -

ALL script extender mods for OBSE must be installed manually, outside of the MO/MO2 system, and then you use the Script extender option as your load mechanism to manage your game. MO 1.3.11 does exactly the same thing so you will not gain any functionality from backdating to it. -
SKYRIMLE STEPWIND, the entire step guide in a simple download!
GrantSP replied to KUPOkinz's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
STEP's position on "modpacks" is very clear: We do not support them and consider them bad for the authors of the mods contained therein. STEP will never allow, condone or otherwise support this style of mod distribution. It removes the supply of the mod from the control of the mod author and possibly violates some laws regarding distribution of copyrighted property. Any such association with STEP needs to be removed immediately. -
How to access the Data folder as the game sees it

The manual is also linked from inside MO's UI by clicking the link to the help manual: Question mark icon -- Documentation wiki. -
MO is not loading ANY of the installed mods
GrantSP replied to kylominogo's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Is Steam currently running as a service in your system? When you start Skyrim from MO Steam is still running? You can, if you wish, install another instance of MO in another location and see if by default it sees all the executables and runs them accordingly, I'd be interested to see how that went. There is no reason I can see why it isn't working now so I'm really not sure where to go with it now. -
How to access the Data folder as the game sees it
GrantSP replied to axonis's question in Mod Organizer Support
The manual has a tip for using FreeCommander which will also provides exactly the same thing. In addition you can also call cmd.exe, AKA a console session, and browse the folder structure that way. In fact any 32bit file manager or command console will provide this information if called from within MO. -
Ensure you also have the correct versions of all the JIP mods. Most JIP mods rely on the NVSE & JIP plugins which are not dependent on load orser in the same way as mods that are solely ESP mods, so the order in the left hand pane is not really important. It may also be possible, though this is just a guess, that some information is "baked into" the save. To be sure try starting a new game to test that all the mods are installed and working together. I have just now upgraded my JIP_LN NVSE mod to the latest anf the only message I got was for JIP C&CC which also needed to be upgraded. After doing so I have no error messages.

MO is not loading ANY of the installed mods
GrantSP replied to kylominogo's question in General Skyrim LE Support
It do not know why MO would be trying to call Steam.exe instead of the actual game. If the game runs from its own shortcut on the desktop, MO should likewise be able to call it correctly. One thing that I did miss in your INI from the other days is: SKSE appears to be called from a folder on the desktop. This is not how it should be installed. SKSE needs to reside inside the actual game install. The scripts folder can however be installed inside MO but the actual loader needs to be in the game install. -
In the F&L guide, are all links required to click on?
GrantSP replied to radroachhd's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
If you're referring to the video tutorials on how to use MO or how to install New Vegas, then no, if you are familiar with that there is no need to watch those. All extra guide links are there ONLY to assist users that are completely new to those concepts, if you know how to do the task then you can safely skip them. -
Weird RH ironsights bug when using arwen realism mod
GrantSP replied to lv4321's question in Mod Organizer Support
Not important, I was just thinking she may have created some new animations that are being played when the weapons lower and raise, but it probably isn't the case. Since you state she hasn't then my line of thought is rendered moot. Carry on and all the best with your modding. -

GrantSP replied to kylominogo's question in General Skyrim LE Support
In MO's settings, what changes, if any, have you set? Especially with regards to the Steam App Id. This setting I am unsure about: [DialogChoices] steamQuery=16384I don't believe there is any necessity to have it explicitly set in the INI, I have never seen it. -
Missing version of Unofficial Patch Plus in F&L guide

Your conclusions and steps to continue are correct. Carry on as you have described. -
crash when loading save/new area about twice an hour
GrantSP replied to Spacebadger's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
Not sure why you had Zan's Auto Purge installed, that's a proven placebo at best and a cause of trouble at worst. As you have found out. -

GrantSP replied to radroachhd's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
Most of the links are either to the Nexus page for the selected mod or to a online storage site like DropBox or similar. There are very few links to outside sources so I doubt it would take weeks to follow those. Having said that you should become thoroughly acquainted with all the methods described herein so if that takes some time now, that's better than trying to get something done later and not knowing how. MO is not loading ANY of the installed mods
GrantSP replied to kylominogo's question in General Skyrim LE Support
No. Your using MO version 1 correct? So in the same folder as the ModOrganizer executable is a file called ModOrganizer.ini. Make sure Windows isn't hiding file extensions. It isn't a large file only a few Kb in size. That will tell me what you have setup. -
Fnvedit merged patch saying it's not there when it is.
GrantSP replied to legogamefan99's question in Mod Organizer Support
That's fine. In the future you can post your plugin.txt here inside spoiler tags or host it on a site like PasteBin. Logs are in the "logs" folder of your MO install. -
Have you changed the language that MO is showing? In any case try changing it to another and then back to whatever language you use.

Has she added in new animations as well? -
Fnvedit merged patch saying it's not there when it is.
GrantSP replied to legogamefan99's question in Mod Organizer Support
More detail is needed. Logs, plugin list etc. If MO is saying there is a missing plugin then more than likely there is a missing plugin, you may just be misinterpreting the information as to where it is. As an aside, it isn't really a good idea to be adding/removing/merging mods midgame. Was this new mod so important that it needed to be added in now, and if so then why was it not already part of a merge? But that is not the crux of your issue, just examine carefully what information is giving you and backtrack to find where this plugin is. -

GrantSP replied to kylominogo's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Can you please post your ModOrganizer.INI? Please use spoiler tags around your post, how to do that is shown in the Citizenship Guidelines linked in the bottom right of every page. The logs show MO is trying to look for Steam.exe as the game that it is managing, not Tesv.exe.
