  1. This mod is now (well, apparently has been for months) abandoned. Like I posted in another thread, I sent the guy a message at the beginning of october, asking what the state of his unfinished mods were, didn't get a reply, and after trying again today he wrote "I'm sorry but I do not plan to do anything to Skyrim. Instead, I invite you to modifications to Fallout 4 (release soon) and The Witcher 3". What a waste. No I will have to dig the old replacer mod from somewhere. I think Gamwich has something in his farmouses mod.
  2. It's the authors right to do whatever they please, but I still find it pretty annoying and in a way maybe even insultive to the users to abandon their work without a single word after promising updates for a long time. I sent the guy a message at the beginning of october, asking what the state of his unfinished mods were, didn't get a reply, and after trying again today he wrote "I'm sorry but I do not plan to do anything to Skyrim. Instead, I invite you to modifications to Fallout 4 (release soon) and The Witcher 3". I'm pretty pissed off, because this basically makes his ore mod (which is completed as far as I know) useless, considering the the ores wont't match the ingots colours.
  3. Any chance of merging Ash Rocks -- Solstheim ash improvements for Dragonborn DLC into this?
  4. Pardon me for having an opinion...
  5. Ok, but what's the point of clicking that button at all if you're using MO? It won't matter at all.
  6. Looking at spINI, it changes the FOV to some really weird numbers. How does that work, and where are the values (like 70,59 or something) coming from?
  7. I think I identified the problem. The process ONLY works when the program is run from within MO, otherwise nothing happens.
  8. There's no such folder here. Even after running the program a few times.
  9. I have Backup Movement Speed Reduction and it seems to work just fine. I'm just puzzled why people feel the urge to do the same thing over and over. It's fine for textures, because styles are different, but something as simple as lowering values for strafe speed or whatever, that just doesn't make sense to do again.
  10. Oh one more thing. The spinify button should probably not be next to the presets. It looks confusing. If it's supposed to refresh the inis to default state and should be used before selecting a preset, it should be before those. Also when I click the button, it says to accept the preset. But how and where? I don't understand what is the message trying to tell me, and I suspect I won't be alone.
  11. So I ran the program and it started complaining about all sorts of inis missing. That took quite a while. Could you possibly make it so that you can actually close it somehow instead of having to wait until all the error messages go away? I thought it would automatically pick the inis from the usual locations when not run from within MO, but apparently not. Anyway, I changed a few settings, clicked save, and nothing happened. It looked as if it saved the files, but the ones in documents folder remained the same. What gives? Also, is there any documentation what settings changes exactly what in the inis? Some of there I never heard of. It also took me a while you have to tick a checkbox for some text to appear. A tooltip when mousing over it would be better, I think.
  12. How can the screenshots look different when the program simply reorganizes the entries in the inis? :O_o:
  13. What seems more likely is they did the same retarded thing Microsoft did with Windows: unify it for ALL platforms, so it looks exactly the same no matter what device you use. Might be nice on mobile phones but absolute garbage on PC (Metro anyone?). Seeing the "improvements" to the controls and interface in Fallout 4, I bet they messed up the PC version indirectly by not giving a F about the differences between a controller and keyboard+mouse.
  14. I wonder what makes people reinvent the wheel. There are like 2-3 mods that do exactly this already...
  15. I will. Just not yet. I am not happy with certain aspects of the game, and I hope mods will mitigate that well enough to justify the purchase. What's available today I don't call mods though, seeing how some extremely retarded people started using that Snip program 4 years after it was declared utter garbage, so I will wait at least until real mods start to appear after the release of CK. P.S. That forum is fine. I guess it got some bad reputation in past, presumably around the time Fallout 3 was released (I wasn't around at that time), and the shock from what Bethesda did with the franchise was too big. From what I've seen lately, people post in relatively reasonable way. There is lots of criticism about Fallout 4, but it seems to be coming from people who play it. And death threats are wrong on all levels. I wouldn't take them seriously myself, but that doesn't make the matter any less serious. Just having the idea of writing something like that because of a GAME means the person in question is completely f*cked up in the head, regardless of age or whatever.
  16. https://www.nma-fallout.com/showthread.php?204472-Death-Threats-From-Beth-Fanboys HOLY SH*T?
  17. Wasn't the mod supposed to get a merged version or something? I think it consists of a few plugins (maybe I'm mistaking it with something else though).
  18. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/55154/? One of the mods I was the most hyped about for over a year has just gotten out of beta. It's by no means finished, but no more starting new game is required anymore, which is a major change. I'll just quote a little bit of the description here, because you better see the page itself to get the proper impression. It has some extremely unique features to it. A configurable bedroom wing. You can choose between 2 child beds, 6 child beds or 4 follower beds. You can adopt up to 6 children if you use Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions (and the 6 bed configuration). However if you only want to adopt 2 children than you don't need Hearthfire Multiple Adoption installed as the vanilla adoption scripts will still work in the manor. The steward, housecarl and bard all have their own beds.Custom furniture that allows for a lot of additional storage space without taking up additional floor space.Much better lighting than the vanilla Lakeview Manor imho. This whole project started as an attempt to improve the vanilla lighting.Ability for the player to individually extinguish and re-light all candles throughout the main house. Let me know if I've missed any of them.Indoor plumbing, including working sinks, a bath and toilets but I did my very best to make them look like they belong in the world. Take a look at the screen shots before you judge them :)A fairly large armory complete with custom helmet displays and a unique enchanting roomA large library with a studyAn attic containing the alchemy lab and fully functional individual ingredient storage drawers with auto-sorting. Note the video is a bit old now and the attic has changed a bit since then. All the crafting stations you should need (except for a Skyforge)Indoor ambient lighting and soundsA working wind-powered grain millA fish hatchery down by the lakeCustom displays for elderscrolls, unique jars, black books, dragon priest masks, dragon claws, kagrumez gemsA self-changing dining table. Each day the main dining table will show a randomly selected meal configuration including plates, cups, food etc. More configuration to be added in future.
  19. I wouldn't install it. The risk of all kinds of weird problems is still too high (despite the mod coming a long way). There's no way to uninstall it (this mod especially), and when you start to have problems, you'd have to deal with Apollodown's winning personality and attitude.
  20. Avoid HP at all cost. Lenovo, on the other hand, I can only recommend (have first hand experience with the L series, which is not any high end, and still it's great with good build quality). It should have a discrete GPU chip (others will recommend something concrete) for any gaming, with enough video memory (not sure how high can it go these days, but it should be 2GB or so, not less). 8GB RAM should be a minimum too. Do NOT buy anything with less than 8GB.
  21. Well the most important thing is budget. How much at the very most? Then there are other aspects: Size - as in display size. I presume it will be used alone without any external monitor. If it's supposed to be running games, the larger the better. Weight. Does it even matter? The specs can - in my opinion - only be decided after these are cleared.
  22. Eww, that sucks, because I rely on overwriting lots of texture mods in specific order (well, just like STEP, obviously). I can totally understand how stupidity/ignorance of users or hate from "certain" modders group made Tannin go this way though. Guess I'll have to extract everything again :(
  23. So just to make sure: with the new MO I will no longer be able to load BSAs in the same order as mods in the left panel?
  24. I'd like to see the reasoning behind this.
  25. In my opinion, if we forget his contributions to moddable games for a second, what's left is a simple arrogant intolerant moron. It's that simple.
