It removes the _kcfStormbringer NPC and his faction relation to the player(select and press delete then save). Reason: It's a nice easter egg but it comes too early in the game (Riverwood Inn). Tonycubed says he will move it and add dialog in future versions.<br />

Template:TOCRight Important: This page will be used to document my personal mods over and above my Custom Installation of STEP.

Prerequisites

  1. My Custom STEP Install or similar.
  2. Script Dragon

Tools Used

  1. BOSS v2.1.0 (Video)
  2. Wrye Bash v300 Standalone (Guide)

Skyrim.ini Tweaks

No Bethesda Intro Video

This removes the annoying Bethesda intro video when loading the game.
Add the following under [General]:
sIntroSequence=

Large Interior Crash Fix Tweak

This prevents crashes that occur when too many objects are loaded in an interior cell. Usually this is caused by large mods.
Add the following under [General]:
iLargeIntRefCount=999999

Sun Shadow Update Time

This tweak allows the shadows of objects to update instantaneously.
Add the following under [General]:
fSunUpdateThreshold=0.0000
fSunShadowUpdateTime=0.0000

Arrow and Bolt Tweaks

This tweak improves the aim of arrows/bolts when using the default crosshair.
Add the following under [Combat]:
f1PArrowTiltUpAngle=0.7
f3PArrowTiltUpAngle=0.7
f1PBoltTiltUpAngle=0.7
f3PBoltTiltUpAngle=0.7

This tweak allows you to shoot targets further away.
Add the following under [Actor]:
fVisibleNavmeshMoveDist=12288.0000

Cart Tweaks

This tweak improves how carts drive around the world... good for the intro sequence and scenic carriages.
Add the following:
[Cart]
fWheelAngDamp=0.1100
fMass=240.0000
fFriction=100.0000
fGravMult=7.0000

Ranged Killmove Tweaks

This tweak increases ranged killmove change to 100, obviously configure how you like it.
Add the following:
[VATS]
fVATSCastingAfterKillDelay=1.2000
uVATSRangedPercentSneak=100
uVATSRangedPercentGlobal=100
bVATSIgnoreProjectileTest=0
bVATSAllowNoKill=0
bVATSMultipleCombatants=1
bVATSForceRanged=1

Flickering Light Fix Tweak

This tweak increases the range at which you can see flickering lights, should help a lot with "poping" light sources.
Add the following under [General]:
fFlickeringLightDistance=8192

SkyrimPrefs.ini Tweaks

Trees Receive Shadows

This tweak allows shadows to be drawn on trees.
Change the following under [Display]:
bTreesReceiveShadows=1

Land Shadows

This tweak allows shadows from land masses to be drawn. Some people report this increases the amount of shadow striping, but I haven't noticed.
Change the following under [Display]:
bDrawLandShadows=1

Float Point Render Target (For ENB)

This tweak allows ENB to work properly. I suggest leaving this value at 0 unless you are using ENB.
Change the following under [Display]:
bFloatPointRenderTarget=1

Z-Fighting Fix

I highly recommend reading and applying a Z-Fighting Fix.

Current Lighting Mod

Countervibe ENB

Notes: Can't recommend this enough.

Mod Installation

As with my custom STEP install, I install in category groups when possible rather than a set order with the following priority:
Bug Fixes -> World Meshes/Textures -> Effects -> Sound -> UI -> Actor Meshes/Textures -> Animations -> Equipment Meshes/Textures -> Gameplay Changes -> Content
Obviously, these categories are not always exclusive (textures included with meshes, etc). All mods are in LOOSE file format rather than BSA where available.

Step 2: Activate ESPs / Create Bashed Patch

Start Wrye Bash once more and on the Mods tab, make sure all your mods have a green checkmark next to them, if not, click the box to activate them. If you ran step 1, they should already be in the correct order. Next, right click Bashed Patch, 0.esp and select "Rebuild Patch", then click Build Patch. Let that complete and close the window, the correct options should already be checked by default. This merges the leveled lists from the installed mods so there are no conflicts.

Step 3: Enjoy!

Your done, have fun!
