Chalybern

Hello, I am not sure if this would be the right place to ask this sort of question, so please direct me otherwise if need be. I followed the Step Guide to the letter, and have been playing with very few small issues. I just got enough Madness Ingots to create a Madness Sword and temper it to Legendary in order to replace what I had been using as my main weapon, a Daedric Sword. Contrary to the initial values and what I had read on the UESP, the final damage values for the Madness Sword was about 80 whereas the Daedric was over 100. Is this because Madness smithing is categorized under Ebony Smithing? Is it because of CCOR? If anybody else has experienced this please let me know. Thanks
