Which ENB's can we install with Step extended?

Question

Posted

I'm interested in Project ENB or Realvision, but the mod authors say those mods need Climates of Tamriel. COT isn't compatible with Step Extended is it?

How should I go about installing an enb preset?

As long as you only install the CoT weather parts, and leave the rest out you can use it directly with extended, if your presets are locked to those.

Alternatively find presets that support vanilla weathers.

Do the weathers not conflict with Skyrim Immersive Thunder?

I know many STEP folks on this forum use Vividian ENB. I've been thinking of giving it a go myself. Some mods may need to be reinstalled with other settings for ENB. I know Realistic Water 2 has an ENB setting recommendation on the wiki page. There will be a few others I think, I don't know if it is documented.

Also be aware that some ENB presets may require specific lighting mods, so you may need to install STEP Extended without the lighting mods and lighting patches.

I didn't install ELE for this reason.

Hello there,

I am also interesting in that question. The ENBs recommanded in the dedicated section guide are too strong for me or functionning with old ENBs binaries. Maybe someone could have recommendations for me : a ENB that is working with STEP extended, that is not too performance hitting (Intel Core i7 + Nvidia GTX 860M), and with the latest binary ?

Thank you :/
