General Help post-STEP:Extended+Survival

I was hoping to get some general help.

 

I've installed STEP: Extended successfully, as well as the Survival pack (the one with Frostfall, except I left out Subliminal Traps, though I'm slightly worried about it as it went into less detail (things like when to add metadata to LOOT or disable a plugin are beyond me atm)). Beyond that so far I've added LoL-Alternate Start and Climates of Tamriel. Oh, and Vividian ENB. The only problem so far is all the haircuts seem to be an inch or two too high. Certain haircuts are actually floating above the scalp with air in between. I can't figure it out.

 

 

Anyway, I want to add some difficulty (deadly dragons, maybe ASIS), probably better followers (Extensible Follower Framework, say) and better perks, but things like Perkus Maximus are less than straightforward (Idk what to even make of the "PerMa Compatibility and PaMa Patches" page it sends you to as like step two) and I don't want to break what seems to be working so far (well, besides floating hair).

 

I also am hesitant about merge patches and conflict resolution. I have used xedit before in F:NV so I get the basics, it's just when to do what or even whether . I just installed the Creation Kit so I could set up Merge Plugins Standalone like Neovalen describes in his Skyrim Revisited: Legendary Edition page, but I can't just follow his merging instructions since I didn't install his setup.

 

I guess it's just that the STEP guide was very good at hand-holding, very specific. I don't want to break it.

 

 

Anyway, here's my Load Order so far. If someone could maybe at least glance at it, see if there's any obvious problems or things that should be done (merged//reordered/patched somehow/whatever) I'd be super appreciative:
