Nebulous112 Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Blocking Animation Pack (by 5poiler) This is a possible replacement for Dual Wield Blocking Animations (by Daljo). On the Nexus page for Dual Wield Blocking Animations, the author states: Quote Important! - 5poiler offers a considerably better set of animations, in addition to other alternative blocking animations for 1h/2h, and I would recommend downloading them instead of this It may be worth taking a look at this replacement, if the author doesn't even recommend his own mod anymore. 😛 Beyond replacing the dual-wield blocking animations in the current STEP mod, this mod also adds new blocking animations for one-handed and two-handed weapons. From the video, it looks pretty neat. I am adding this to my new playthrough in place of the current STEP mod. Edit: FYI - There are two data folders...one for the Dual Wield blocking animation and one for the One-Hand / Two-Hand weapon blocking animations. This makes it easy if you just want to install the dual-wield portion (to replace Dual Wield Blocking Animation by Daljo). However, if you want to install both portions, you will have to open up both file structures completely at the MO install prompt. Shift-click to highlight multiple files, and move all the animations from the one animation folder to the other.
Tobi Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Will take a look at this sometime, only makes sense to add this if even the author recommends it :p.
TechAngel85 Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 I've added a testing tag to the tread. Will probably not make it to testing this release.
Nebulous112 Posted November 15, 2015 Author Posted November 15, 2015 (edited) Makes sense that it won't be tested for this release. Testing how new animations interact with everything seems like it would be a lot more difficult than testing new textures, for instance. Edited November 15, 2015 by Nebulous112
Nebulous112 Posted December 10, 2015 Author Posted December 10, 2015 FYI, the package structure for this mod is different from the norm. This makes it easy if you just want to install the dual-wield portion (to replace Dual Wield Blocking Animation by Daljo). Shift-click to highlight multiple files, and move all the animations from the one animation folder to the other.
Nebulous112 Posted December 13, 2015 Author Posted December 13, 2015 Edited OP with some videos from the Nexus page, and the info from my last post.

Tobi Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Or we could just rearrange the package prior to install, but either way it is weird.
DepartedCitizen-00002 Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 (edited) Did you ever test this one? I replaced "Dual Wield Blocking Animations" and I don't see anything wrong (just better animations). EDIT: Also you guys should check his other "animations" mods. Edited October 26, 2016 by Zorkha
TechAngel85 Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 I did test this a little bit, but not fully. It really needs a video compare, but I don't have the time to do that atm.
DepartedCitizen-00002 Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 I did not try "Dual Wield Blocking Animations" in the first place because I saw on the Nexus page that it was just using the torch animation (and when looking on the pictures it looks like a "hey, take this" animation...) while 5poiler, made one specifically for dual wielding and was looking very nice in the vids!
5poiler Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Hey thanks for testing the mod. I just make an update in Blocking Animation Pack by adding first person parrying animation fromhttps://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/79632/ both in single Data folder in BAP now I will delete First person parrying animation mod page after you read this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jh6yfbHqaCU - for 3rd personhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUxE6ZOwBgc - for 1st person
DepartedCitizen-00002 Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 @5poiler, Hello and thank you for making your animations (and the not really used vanilla ones, as I understand it) available to everyone! I already had your First Person Parrying mod. It's a good idea to put them together, people can remove the first person animations if they don't like them... You should make your v1.4 "Update Log" at the bottom of the mod page more clear about that, it should start with "Add first person parrying animation...". Have a great weekend. ::
