Error: Unable to access jarfile C:/Program (Mod Organizer skyproc patcher executables)

Title pretty much says it all. After completely updating java, MO, and reinstalling DSR, I'm getting this error when I attempt to run the skyproc patcher. Yes, I have the latest version of 32 bit java. Yes, my executable pathway is correct following STEP installation. Google has failed me for once and I have no idea how to fix this.

 

I would appreciate any help.

Having the same problem. All other external program links are working as intended, just having problems with Java.

You are probably using a 64 bit version of java. You need to use a 32 bit version. Use the cogs icon and point to the correct version of java, Usually:

 

C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_31\bin\javaw.exe

As I stated above, I already have 32 bit java installed. Just to make sure, I just redownloaded and reinstalled 32 bit java again, and still no dice.

(The current version is 1.8.0_45 I believe, is that responsible?). And as I also already stated above, my pathway is correct and says exactly that.

 

It's something else. It worked just fine last night. The only thing I changed since then was to completely update my MO.

If everything was working then the most likely cause is any new software you installed. If it is not broken, don't fix it.

As far as I know STEP is still at 1.2.18. As far as I know SR:LE is also still at 1.2.18. When fully tested this may change, but I would not upgrade until all the bugs are worked out (or called for in the guides). You want to test fine, but report the bugs.

I saw some folks in the MO boards complaining about SkyProc not working with the latest version, I'm sure Tannin will fix it.

Bleh, I upgraded my MO because I saw the message in the upper right corner, and it didn't say anything about being beta, just bugfixes. Sounded reasonable, so I upgraded. Okay so it's a beta. Finally seeing that other people are having this problem now that I'm searching "revert MO version". Did what they said and reverted to 1.2.18, aaaaaand still not working.

 

It has to be java. I'm currently completely uninstalling it and trying to make sure I find the absolute correct version of java. Let me find out if anything starts working...

 

Edit: Okay, I have no idea what I did, but now java is working again. And DSR just successfully completed a patch. Yaaay!

 

Hey, Deboch, if this all started when you updated MO, you can start by going to their Nexus page, downloading the old version 1.2.18 installer, and simply installing directly over the updated MO to revert back to the old version. All of my mods and priorities were kept the same, so yours should to. Make sure to run MO as administrator. I hope things get rectified for you too.

Download the 1.3.5 version from Nexus and copy the hook.dll file into your 1.3.6 install directory (overwrite when prompted).  You should be good to go.

Reverted back to 1.3.5 and all worked as intended. Copied hook.dll and re-installed 1.3.6 and replaced hook.dll with the 1.3.5 ver and all is fine.
