Random CTDs and Sudden FPS drops

I'm running SR:LE with REGS, PerMa, and half a dozen extra mods to round things out.

I've followed the two guides rigorously, and consulted the Perma/SRLE thread in this very forum.  

 

95% of the time the game runs fine, buttery smooth 50-60FPS, even outside, dropping to 30+ during exterior combat scenes.

 

Except every so often, the game nearly freezes, FPS drops to single digits, and I hold my breath for a moment, while I wait for the game to resume.

It frequently does, howver after a few times of this, the game just CTDs without warning.  No lag spike, just suddenly BOOM desktop.  No error message either.

 

This has been stalking me through MULTIPLE mod installs, and I'm starting to wonder if it's not my processor or RAM dying or something.  But this is the only game to suffer from this issue, so doubtful.

 

System specs are solid:

 

*Core i7 2600K

*16GB DDR3 RAM

*GTX 970 4GB VRAM card

 

The ONE thing I was not able to duplicate was using BOSS Userlist to sort mods.  I've installed all the rules using the Manager... and BOSS ignores them.  Oh the rules are there.  They're in the proper file, and YES i run it through Mod Organizer. But it ignores the Userules.  I got fed up of setting them manually, so I switched to LOOT.  This may be the problem.

Dude .. its not your PC you can be sure of that.  You are lucky to have it so smooth 50+ fps.  I'm happy with 30 and am not getting that right now.  (I'm running triple wide monitors and will like need to lower resolution).  I'm getting CTD's as well and strange issues which I hope I can fix or learn to live with.  I think in any heavy modded game you need to be tolerant .. blah.

 

I would work at getting BOSS to work.  Must be a solution.
