Which mod versions does S.T.E.P. support?

Question

Posted

I'm quite new to modding and I though that I can give S.T.E.P. a try (I've always failed miserably when trying to mod by myself). I see that the S.T.E.P. guide is quite old and that many mods have been updated since it was written. Because many of those updates can include some changes that can have a negative impact of the overall S.T.E.P. compatibility, I would like to know if there is a list with mod versions that have been tested with S.T.E.P. and are working correctly. It's maybe a good idea to add the mod versions in the S.T.E.P mod wiki? Thank you in advance.

STEP keeps up with mod version changes. The detailed instructions for mods are on the wiki page associated with each mod. If an update to a mod requires a change in installation instructions this is done on the wiki page. These details can also usually be found in the Mod Anthology forum thread for the mod.

Thank you for your answers Kelmych. I tried to scroll through forum threads and wiki to check if a mod version is compatible and if there is some tweaks that need to be made to a newer version to make it work in the S.T.E.P. compilation. I found this solution quite tedious and sometimes I can see new versions of the mods released just a day ago and can't find anything on the forum or the wiki. This is confusing because I then don't know if I can install the newest version or which version of the mod is described in the wiki and forums. I hope you can understand what I mean.
