FO3Edit says I am missing 'Advanced Recon Tech.esm'

Michiba

Question

I have been following the guide and when I open FO3Edit to merge the 'Advanced Recon Trap Detection' it disable edits and says I am missing  'Advanced Recon Tech.esm'.

MO also has a warning that I am missing said master too.

Figured I just need to install the master, but I don't see it on the nexus or anything about it in the guide.

I solve this problem by installing the next mod down first, the night vision one.

Got to the part of the guide that say to start the game to check for any problems...

Game was very foggy looking so I closed out and checked my settings, but when I tried to start the game again I get a pop up saying the game has stop working.

Not sure what to do  ::|:

Edit: no idea why it crashed, fresh reinstall fixed it. Fog was from not turning off the ENB effects in the enbseries.ini should anyone else make the same mistake.

I took the merge instructions from the Fallout NV guide, but with the recent change in the mod the Advanced Thermal Nightvision mod needs to be loaded first so the Advanced Recon Tech - Detect Traps.esp patch sees it's master file.  I'll change the install order so this works.

With Fallout 3 merging plugins isn't critical since with all the mods in the guide installed you are still well below the 255 plugin limit. I added this for those who want to add a large set of mods not in the guide.
