Apologies if this is common knowledge...

When I find a mod on Steam that I cannot live without (i.e. the very cool Morrowind armor pack that was mentioned a while back) I convert them to a NMM friendly archive file.

Locate the files

Archive them

Pull the archive out of your data folder

Install the archive using NMM

 

I thought I was an evil genius when I discovered this. I'm sure alot of people are aware of this but if not...cheers.

It's been advised in STEP for a while now.

 

Use BSAopt to extract the files, repackage, optimise and archive into a more convenient format.

This mod is finally starting to get support from the author again, recently released 0.95, definitely keeping an eye on this one.

 

Current features:

Animals will no longer report crimes.

Guards will follow the player if sneaking or a weapon is drawn.

Dogs will bark at the player if they witness him sneaking
