Crazy_San Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 So I'm wondering if people run any of the mods out there to increase the amount of salt in the game? I don't need to worry about it too much right now because I'm on a Bosmer so I can eat raw meat, but for a future character I wonder if there's enough salt around by default to cook meals.
Neovalen Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 i think there is, at least I never seem to be in a shortage. Especially if I turn on the food scarcity option in iNeed. It replaces some of the random food you find in barrels, etc with salt.
phazer11 Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 If you need more salt then there's a mod or leveled list edit you can do to add more salt. I think one even add an option to make salt from ocean water.
hishutup Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 I think one even add an option to make salt from ocean water. I think there is a mod that did that... Frostfall?requiem?RN&D?
BossNoob Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 I've always questioned the quantity of salt used to cook meals more than its availability. A typical meal shouldn't need more than a pinch or two of salt, and that bowl seems to have enough salt for several meals. It just seems to me that a bowl of salt should have multiple quantities of salt, but I haven't attempted to deduce what that quantity might be to keep it balanced. On the other hand, all that salt intake might explain why there aren't many older people in Skyrim.
Crazy_San Posted November 15, 2014 Author Posted November 15, 2014 I think there is a mod that did that... Frostfall?requiem?RN&D? I think that was realistic needs. There's one that either is or was a part of STEP but it hasn't been updated recently and people say it causes CTD on load. And I think I will go with the food scarcity option ecspecailly since I use hunterborn right now so meat is not scarce at all, and I can get vegetables for soup from gardens.
dreadflopp Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 More salt please:https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13321/? This was included in STEP. It is now integrated into the STEP patches.

Gekko64 Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 it's only the USKP version that crashes, the other one works fine.
