Octopuss Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 (edited) Could anyone explain what "clean save" is? I see it referenced quite often (as in, "do a clean save"), but with no explanation. Edited June 22, 2014 by Octopuss
DanielCoffey Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 I Googled "skyrim clean save" and this came up... it may be a useful answer for you - https://themodgal.wordpress.com/2013/03/28/clean-saving-what-it-does-and-when-you-should-or-shouldnt-do-it/
Octopuss Posted June 22, 2014 Author Posted June 22, 2014 Thanks. I don't understand the technical stuff about Skyrim much if at all, but this looks like placebo at best to me. People really do this?
rootsrat Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Some scripted mods do require a clean save for updating as far as I'm aware. So you have to stop the scripts, uninstall the mod, make a save without this mod and it's scripts (this is the clean save), and then install the new mod version and use that clean save. Effectively it's as you'd be installing the mod for the first time.
