Great, simple mod. What it does, it unequips crossbow bolts right after the shot, so that the reloading animation is not kicking in straight away, thus not slowing your character down. Once the attack button is pressed again, the same bolts are equipped again and crossbow gets reloaded. 

 

Extremely simple and not immersion breaking actually, as I doubt anyone would shoot crossbow in 3rd person (which would actually show bolts being unequipped). 

 

There is another mod that does similar thing, it was recently showcased by Gopher, but it's more complicated, as it adds an invisible container to store bolts in etc... Way to complex!
