Making a poll

Crimson13

Question

Admittedly this would be my first poll of any forum so I'm new to the thing anyway. But anyway, could anyone here tell me how to make a poll? I've looked all over in the 'Making a new topic' page and I can't find anything related to polls. I wanted to make one as a conversation piece, nothing serious or the like, and I think making a poll would be a bit easier for choices.

Actually, a lot of physicists are also psuedo-mathematicians

Math is the 'universal language' of all science. ;)

I abhor many of the tenets of the social sciences, but they often employ some of the most complex experimental designs and statistical methods (due to the spuriousness of the data) ... same goes for ecologists and study of any complex systems with thousands of variables.

Good point. If we implement, we will need to establish appropriate constraints if possible. I don't want to simply turn the feature on without proper setup first (I also want to discuss with s4n ... he hates polls).

Aye, I do. And you stated some of the reasons why I hate them just a few posts up.

I think allowing polls in things like the Banter Inn is a good idea. In my case I figured making a poll would be an easier way of tallying up on what people picked rather than scrolling up & down and trying to remember who chose what. It was more of a fun question rather than anything serious.
