I'm aware that STEP doesn't use Steam for downloading mods and that if you had to you could do the steps here: https://forum.step-project.com/topic/1209-skyrim-revisited-pre-release-feedback/?p=67706

I remember using these before I even knew what STEP, Hell even GEMS was. And they were pretty good and it felt like they had alot of effort put into them. What I'd like to ask is if you've ever tried these with STEP. Because I remember how much fun they were and I'm curious if anyone else has had experience with them and hasn't had any issues using STEP with them.

I've used Oakwood & Laintar Dale, both needed cleaned and the author wasn't responsive to me asking about that on Steam. I didn't have an issue wuth LD, but Oakwood seemed to cause CTD along the road from Riverwood to Falkreath as noted by several posts.

His quests seemed good for the most part. Once I achieved stability with STEP installed I discontinued use of his quest mods, and ultimately the towns when I couldn't get feedback on cleaning/CTDs.

Oakwood & Laintar Dale do not require cleaning actually, the deleted navmeshes in them are actually caused by bethesda, in their hearthfires.esm

I've had Oakwood in my load order for quite some time, and it has yet to cause any problems for me. The same applies to all of his other town-mods and some of his quest-mods, but I haven't been able to play through all of them yet (i.e. they're in my load order, but I haven't interacted with them in-game).

I've thought of using them, but really hesitated due to it being on a service that really doesn't work for me. I know getting the mods on the Nexus is right out because the author says he won't do it, but I've suggested uploading to TES Alliance, another fairly popular modding site and one I can use comfortably. Don't see a way to contact him outside of adding him as a Steam friend (which likely won't happen since we don't know each other).
