Drag and drop not working.

Question

Posted

Probably a simple answer to this, but somehow MO stopped allowing me to drag and drop mods in the left hand pane to sort the order, have to set the priority manually each time. It's annoying but do not know how I have managed to achieve it. Have the latest version installed hoped doing that would remove the problem. Any clues would be a boon.

I have no idea. If it is sorted by priority it should work. Maybe try sorting by category and then sorting by priority again? Maybe make a backup of modorganizer.ini and then deleting it? Do you have mod grouping enabled at the bottom?

Thanks for comeback, that is not it though, very much sorted by priority. You grab then drag and release yet nothing then happens, mod is where it started. Most bizarre, was working fine then not. I assume I have accidentally selected a function of some kind but nothing obvious comes to mind.

Yup that fixed it, it was the groups thing, never knowingly touched that before. Figured it was something like that, thanks for the help.

I have the same problem as of a couple of minutes ago. I do not recall setting any grouping option, and it seems to auto-revert to "Nexus IDs" every time the MO window is being minimized. This change in behavior is completely sudden and MO worked for me so far without any issues for weeks. Any suggestions?

I saw this 'bug' in the Bug Genie and tried to replicate it. For me it always reverts to 'No groups'.

From your image you are using Win 8 so I can only guess there is something fishy with the way the minimize function handles the last selected GUI function of the MO interface.

What happens if you change the view and then perform some other function and then minimize?

I'm on Win7 and no matter what operations I perform after changing the view and then minimizing, it always reverts to 'No groups'.

Somehow the issue resolved itself. Suddenly MO just worked again, while it was running (previously restarting the application didn't help, and the issue arose while MO was running already for days uninterrupted). I haven't had any configuration file open in another application, am using the embedded administrator account of Windows (have been for years), so everything runs with admin privileges by default, I haven't quit another windows application to make it work, there is or was no process running I could even remotely suggest was clashing with MO.

I have simply no explanation for what just happened, and that's not something that happens often.
