Question

I'm pretty new to modding and have been having a great time creating the perfect skyrim experience to cater to my preferences. I've been running 250 + mods for a few months straight with no conflicts I couldn't figure out and fix until now. Now I did something really stupid... I wanted to add the texture pack combiner  mod complete to round out the graphics nicely and accidentally overwrote my games textures and meshes. I didn't create the zip file and add to NMM like the author recommended, instead I installed manually like a moron :/

the only back up I have of the original textures and meshes is outdated by 3 months. I've added many mods since then, could I use this somehow?

can anyone help me get the original textures back without losing my heavily modded skyrim game? The added TPC mod creates some serious stuttering and I have to run the game on medium instead of ultra (like usual) to make it playable.

Really kicking myself after this one.

Well, you need to have the texture mods that you installed before TPC and overwrite with those. The key being that you need to install lower resolution textures to reduce the stutter you have. Because you installed manually there is really no way but overwriting the textures and meshes with lower res versions.

Not sure what all is in TPC these days, but if you got a bunch of 2K res mod, then go back and get the 1K versions to start.
