download link from Nexus to MO denied

When I try to download mods from Nexus into Mod Organizer, I get an error after it says download started, "Request to Nexus failed: invalid response", followed by another error, "Request failed: failed to request file info from nexus". I can download manually without issue, but not when I click the nexus download with manager link. I can't check for updates either, as it gives me the same error. I am new to this mod and so far all I have received was errors, I've looked everywhere for a solution, and found none. Therefore I am now trying here, if any solutions, please help.

Updating MO should fix it. the Nexus just recently changed a bunch of stuff and Mod Organizer had to reconfigure some things for connectivity. I think most bugs have been fixed, but still somewhat in the test waters.

 

Also, nexus is down right now. Possible DDoS attack.

Yesterday MO 1.0.12 was released. In the change log the following changes relevant for this thread are mentioned:

• bugfix: opening nexus through the globe icon used the incorrect nmm.nexusmods.com url
• bugfix: "visit on nexus" from the modinfo dialog also lead to the wrong url- bugfix:

Note: The changes for 1.0.12. are NOT at the top because of the way how the Nexus orders things.

I did a clean install with the update 1.0.12, and it is working now. I wish I would have discovered this mod earlier, it is amazing. Thanks for your help. :D

Somehow the consensus of all ppl using MO is the same as yours.

Those brave enough to search/look for a different mod manager then the default NMM mod manager are rewarded in spades .

Just like NMM, MO is not perfect (but pretty darn close imho) and sometimes 'rough' edges or issues are found and are polished rather quickly by Tannin.

i have latest version v1.2.10 and i have getting this error mostly on large files like aMidianBorn, SMIM and pretty much anything over 500mb. but when i download mods manually then try and load into Mod organizer the esp don't get loaded. aka SMIM so I end up with purple textures in game.

If the ESPs are not being installed there was a bug fix posted on the Nexus page under the updates section.
