By desertbufalo. MO AV Requim combination results in AV missing master error

Question

Originally Nexus user desertbufalo posted this in the Nexus MO forum. So that this discussion will not get buried on the nexus forums I created the question here and will respond to it here.

To tell the truth I have no idea whether it is a problem of MO.

however I have problems to use with MO, Automatic Variants and Requiem. although the loadorder seems correct, with tes5edit and Wrye Bash. without Automatic Variants, the game starts properly. I use Boss For loadorder, and BOSS Userlist Manager (bum) to finish the work.

the loadorder is the following:

Requiem.esp

Requiem - Resources.esp

Requiem - Immersive Weapons.esp

Requiem - Immersive Armors.esp

Requiem - HearthFires.esp

Requiem - Hard Times.esp

Requiem - Dragonborn.esp

Requiem - SIC Patch.esp

Requiem - SIC Patch - DLC2.esp

when I start, Automatic Variants, however I get this error

Skyproc.exceptions.MissingMaster.

Requiem - SIC Patch - DLC2.esp has some missing master:

Requiem - Dragonborn.esp

I've noticed you posted this in the AV forum as well, which is a good thing. So far nobody has responded. I'm using Automatic Variants in combination with MO my self. However I'm not using Requim. I wish I could try it out and test it for you but I have bit to much on my plate right now. Perhaps somebody else is using all three programs and can help you further or perhaps some one else has the time to verify your findings and/or can help you with a solution.

It is a reproduceable error. Exclude Requiem - SIC Patch - DLC2.esp from the patch. It will still work and will not have stability issues. I only recommend this as a temporary workaround though until it can be fixed.

Oh and i believe dragonborn plugins should be loaded last in the posted load order

I can confirm that this error happens when Requiem - SIC Patch - DLC2.esp is in the load order and automatic variants is rum from inside of MO v1.0.7 rc8.

I set up the same mods in a test Skyrim directory, installed the mods in Nexus Mod Manager, and ran Automatic Variants on it and did not receive this error.

Adding the mentioned esp file to the blocklist of AV should do the trick.

I believe I was correct in saying that your requiem-dragonborn patches should be loaded last in the requiem related load order though, so please be sure to check on that. Unless it has changed since I last messed around with my own Requiem load order, AZrock (the creator of requiem patches) has stated that Dragonborn patch should be dead last for conflict reasons.

Edit: Exception being the pugins that rely on the requiem-dragonborn patch. those should, of course, be loaded after this patch as requiem-dragonborn should be loaded first as master.

I have not checked what it says Azrock.

but it does not seem to make much sense, put a patch before his master.

because by this time rightly gives you the same error.

I try to take a look at what it says Azrock.

this is what it says Azrock, as you can see RequiemDB - SIC patch is after.

however if there was some blunder, tes5edit for sure you will detect.

Skyrim.esm

Update.esm

Dawnguard.esm

Dragonborn.esm

Skyrim Immersive Creatures.esp (optional - recommended) Skyrim Immersive Creatures

Skyrim Immersive Creatures - DLC2.esp (optional)

other stuff (like armor and weapon mods)

Requiem.esp

Requiem - Resources.esp

Any other Requiem Patches

Requiem - Dragonborn (as low as possible, I have included fixes to races that other common mods overwrite in Requiem)

Requiem - SIC Patch Requiem - Immersive Creatures (optional)

RequiemDB - SIC patch (optional)

etc.....

ah, whups. once again a blunder on my part due to being half awake. I was looking at those last 2 plugins and did not notice they were reliant on the requiem-dragonborn. In this regard you are right, put those after requiem-dragonborn since the immersive creatures patch relies on requiem-dragonborn as master.

If you load up Wrye Bash, do any of the esps (Requiem - Dragonborn, Requiem - Sic Patch...., RequiemDB - Sic patch) appear as being any color other than green? Are any of the masters out of order?

So you can do it in future.

@DoubleYou

no everything is fine, even with tes5edit.

only at this point I wonder if it is a problem of BOSS Userlist Manager.

because at the moment I tried to do the esp.

the sort of boss was wrong.

if for some reason BOSS Userlist Manager does not work correctly with AV,

then the error would be lawful.

@Uhuru

thanks

@desertbufalo. Can you please create a 'bug report' ticket for it in the issue tracker. As confirmed by GSDFan in post #3 this error happens with the current version of MO and not when AV is run outside MO. Hence its MO related. Please provide as much relevant info as possible and provide a link to this thread as well.
