Invisible textures in Bleak Falls Barrow

Question

Posted

I have just done clean install of STEP and i was testing how it works out. This problem appeared when i entered Bleak Falls Barrow. Textures of dungeon's walls, roofs and  floors disappear in certain camera angles. It's not all walls, just only at that certain spot.

edit: Tried reinstalling each texture mod that affects these parts of dungeons with no luck. The problem doesn't persist in clean install of Skyrim without STEP.

Odd. Hmm... off the top of my head I'd ask you to check what your FOV (field of view) is set at, but if you didn't notice anything odd in the intro (unless you used alternate start so didn't view the Helgen intro) or any other wals I don't think this will help but let's give it a shot.

If you're using Mod Manager then you'll need to go into the ini editor and tell me what the following values are in your skyrim.ini (I"ll use mine as an example they are set to 71)

fDefault1stPersonFOV=71

fDefaultWorldFOV=71

Actually the problem solved itself. I was installing some lighting mods back and forth, ran BOSS etc. and suddenly the glitch was gone. No idea what caused it, but another problem appeared: When having any of sounds of skyrim mods installed, my save bloats and i get huge fps drop after few loading screens.

That's... odd. Please define bloating i.e. the size of your save file and when you say fps drop when does it happen and how i.e. are you able to replicate the drop by going on the same route and doing the same kinds of things. If so let us know and we can walk you through how to add papyrus logging to your game temporarily to see if we can figure it out.
