Something is causing ENB to create a terrible sunray effect

This only happens with Skyrealism ENB (cinematic preset) activated, however the Skyrealism author said that this effect should not happen. It goes away when I shift + f12 to turn ENB off so it's definitely only visible when ENB is active. 

 

Could this be a conflict with ENB and ELFX? 

 

His mod says it's fully compatible with CoT so it shouldn't be an ENB + CoT problem ALTHOUGH I did replace CoT's sun ray with Skyrim Sunglare V4 so maybe it's ENB + SS v4 that's the problem?

 

Any ideas?

Yes. Your sun textures, are not configured to work with the values used in the given preset.

Open the GUI and go find the sun intensity and glow under SKY and adjust them until you are happy.

 

In general you should do this in every single preset that does not come with its own sun textures, since its impossible for authors to take into account every single sun configuration out there. Many forget to mention it however!

Thanks buddy! I'm almost positive this is caused by Skyrim Sunglare v4.

Yup along with the glow haziness.

edit: also the sun rays if you think the god rays are too strong. If they are super strong then it will also cause brightening

These are all set to 0.0 by default for Skyrealism Cinematic. Should I just leave these alone then?

Seems like a ton of values to modify :-/. Also, all these values are at 1.0, which shouldn't be very intense at all, right? My guess is that Skyrim Sunglare v4 is causing this. Should I just use the CoT default sunrays instead?

CoT uses a different path for its textures, so you are in fact not using sunglare if you are using CoT 3.1 but rathers its default ones.

 

The higher to set the haziness the less intense the glow becomes. It will all be very clear once you start, and it should not take super long. Just go somewhere and make sure the ingame time is around 12:00 and then adjust the values. The value you get you can replace the rest with.

Move our screen so you can see the sun clearly. If its bad weather then take a clear one. open the console and the ENB GUI, and tweak away.

The reason for this is so the screen does not move all over the place when you do it.

 

A sun rays of 1.0 is rather strong... I only use 0.4. But again do as above and adjust acordingly.

 

As I recall then skyrealism only use Day night separation, not sunrise, day, sunset.

I am using Skyrim Sunglare v4. I followed the directions and dropped the two files into the climatesoftamriel folder and overwrote CoT's. 

 

Do I have to tweak ALL those values or do you think I can just fix it by decreasing the SunRaysMultiplierDay=1.0 to like 0.5? I just feel like there's no way I can tweak all those values one by one without messing everything up.

Just wait ingame until its 12:00 midday. Then alter the DAY values, and set the rest to this value.

Should I start with the sunintensityday value and see if it fixes it? If not, then move on to the next one, then the next one? Is that the approach I should take? I'm asking because I'm not sure if maybe a combination of the different values are needed or if just one of them will help.

Well its better imo. If you are happy with it then play along, otherwise you know how to fine tune it!

 

Edit: You can also reduce the corona and see what happens. Again just alter it to the same values across the board.
