Strange ticking in the smithing menu?

Whenever I enter any kind of crafting menu (smithing, enchanting etc.) I can hear this ticking every second. It's nothing game-breaking, but in the smithing menu it causes the game to stutter every second, meaning that sometimes I go to click on a category but it doesn't register because of the stuttering. Any help would be much appreciated as it's starting to get a bit annoying!

How many extra smithing items do you have active?

 

If you have a lot then that would most likely be the cause. If it is just vanilla then I would have to request a mod list (in spoiler tags).

Hmm that could very well be the cause. I have everything added by SkyRe (although I've never had any problems before), the Medusa and Drakul armours, Dragonbone Ebonsteel armour, Sicarius armour, aMidianBorn's ebony armour variants and Immersive Armours. Could that be enough to cause it?
