2 Issues I could use some help with

Question

Posted

Hi everyone,

Got STEP all fired up on Extreme and it runs like silk. What I have always wanted. So happy. I just have 2 problems. The first has to do with the Simple Borderless Window mod. I am running ENB, Skyrim Script Extender, but everytime I load through SBW it locks up and also does not put it into borderless mode. (Ah looks like I might be using the wrong one. Got to try the Borderless Window mod when I get home, reading comprehension ><)

The second question is, is there a good ENB for darkness? Right now I am using SkyRealism - Cinimatic. I really like it, but I feel when there isn't much light everything is just too dark. When there is a lightsource everything just has a wonderful effect, but if there is no direct light source (like a torch), nothing looks very good. Is this just a product of ENB?

Other than that, working great, with everything looking amazing.

For the ENB related question.

No it would most likely be because of your lighting mod choice (Like RLO or ELFX). If you are using vanilla lighting then every location have rather high ambient lighting values which should prevent pitch black or even remotely dark areas. Of course depending on ENB choice then it can darken the scene by a rather large amount. As I recall then Skyrealism only implements color correction to the vanilla post process so it should remain rather bright everywhere.

Also it could be an issue with your monitor if your brightness and gamma settings are not properly calibrated, which will make the output of the game look much darker.

Thanks. I believe I really need to just tweak the ENB or find one more to my taste. I really enjoyed Cinematic but I think that is probably the issue as I tried it on normal and it was much brighter.

With the Borderless Window, I tried the one suggested and I have the same issue, load times are all really long and it seems to freeze, so I guess I am just sticking with normal.

Thanks again. Loving the look.
