Question

I am trying to install Duel Sheath Redux through MO but whenever I try to run the patch I get the following error:

skyproc.exceptions.MissingMaster:

Dual Sheath Redux.esp has some missing masters:

-Skyrim.esm

-Update.esm

Please activate and try again.

The Dual Sheath Redux Patch.esp appears despite the error but turning it on and attempting to run Skyrim I get the error about not finding patch data which I assume is from not having the patch successfully finish. Anyone have any ideas on what could be causing the patcher to fail? The only info I could find was about making sure java is up to date and I already double checked that mine is.

Strange.. those two masters should always be on by default in MO.

If you are using the latest beta version try to go back one version... might be a bug.

If you are not using that version then I am currently at a loss.. have never seen that happen before since those two are always forced on if MO is installed correctly.

MO virtualizes the \Data directory to keep vanilla's clean.

To run DSR.jar patch, you have to do it from INSIDE Mod Organizer.

Do the following:

1. On the right pane of MO, select the tab DATA. There you'll see your vitualized data folder.

2. Navigate to the SkyProc Patchers -> Dual Sheath Redux Patch directory.

3. Right-click on Dual Sheath Redux Patch.jar and click Add as Executable.

4. On the Start Pane of MO, select the newly added Dual Sheath Redux Patch and click the run button.

That should execute the patch withing the virtualized environment and resolve your issues.

Note: The mods installed with MO stay inside the MO directory in MODS subfolder. :D

Thanks, but that is how I've been attempting to run the patcher already.

As for my installed mods being in a subfolder of the MO directory I switched the location of where my installed mods go to a folder outside of the MO directory when first setting up MO. That shouldn't matter though should it?

Not it doesn't matter. Just have to be inside the folder that MO virtualizes, manually selected or not.

Try running MO as administrator. If doesn't work, I'll catch up later if no solution arises, I'm going to run this patcher later today in similar circumstances.

Ok so I tried running MO as administrator and that didn't help, still getting that error. Yes I am running an official Skyrim: version 1.9.32.0. This is a fresh install from over the weekend and I just started setting up STEP.

No sure if this will help find a solution but below are the locations where I have everything installed:

Skyrim Data folder - C:\Users\Username\Documents\My Games\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Data

Installed MO mods - C:\Users\Username\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Mods\Installed Mods

MO Directory - C:\Users\Username\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Mods\Utilities\ModOrganizer

Have you run the launcher at least once from steam to create the registry keys and maybe the plugin lists the game uses? I don't know the inner workings of Skyproc or DSR to know where they pull the location of the files from or if they have a specific error message for that situation, but it is something to try.

Yes.

I just moved around mine:

1. Create the destination folder.

2. Copy everything from the current mod folder to the destination mod folder.

3. Select the new folder in MO. Accept the warning and voi là.
