I think the easiest solution is to compare all the mods (as Roostrat suggested). Chances are we'll find a few good mods (other than the ones that are already in, of course). I also agree with Roostrat in terms of pack mods. If all the textures are worth using, why not get it all from one link? I would disagree if it were more like TCP, but it's merely a compilation of the modders work, and I agree that it should be handled differently. But only if all the mods are worth having, which it sounds like they may not be.

 

Unfortunately my video card died on me (and I think my motherboard has gone too) and I'm using an old spare so I can't do any comparisons myself (in fact, I haven't played Skyrim in weeks). But I figured I'd give my two cents in terms of this mod as a "pack mod". Even though the exchange rate may not be so valuable.

I agree with tech on this one.

 

It makes absolutely no sense to force many disparate texture mods into a single, unparsed package ... unless they truly are not already addressed by the major overhauls or the HRDLCs (and it sounds like these are already addressed for the most part). Much better to either provide all as separate mods altogether or as separate downloads under the same mod. Next best alternative is to create a BAIN as a single download, but this is still a big potential waste of bandwidth.

 

I think that each of these mods should be compared separately on their own threads if they will remain available as separate mods.

On the whole, not really worth it IMO. Some might be better than what we already have but then again it's most likely a marginal improvement.

If anyone is willing to look at these textures, then it would seem the compilation mod is worth considering after all, since it contains several retextures not found elsewhere. ... and the variety of tiny mods that this guy/gal has presented clears up why he/she decided to bundle it all!
