Correct Gender Animations for Followers

 

This mod removes "Use opposite sex animations" flag from some characters (all of the female housecarls, hirelings and Irileth in the current version). 

 

Simple fix, no scripts, no big changes or modifications.

Hmm... I had a quick look at this in TES5Edit and took some notes:

 

* Bring Out Your Dead patch will be needed

* Doesn't forward UKSP changes

* Karliah's only changes are tint mask -- no correlation with UKSP

* Brelyna unchanged

* Uthgerd unchanged

* Argis unchanged

* Calder unchanged

* Synda - only tint mask changes

 

The unchanged followers don't have the wrong animation flag to begin with...

If that's the case(s) then I don't think there is any point in considering this mod.

Oh christ, he updated the mod, adding more NPCs. I swear half of them are just tint layers and... weird stuff. Inventories changed, perks removed... x|

Yeah it's a mess. He says he has just clicked a flag setting for the NPCs in the CK, and judging from comments in the thread doesn't seem to know too well what he's doing, yet. Seems very active with the updates though so with some guidance might make it fine eventually, but no reason to consider it right now. :)

Erm... Yeees, well, I think he went too far, way to far, modifying every single female character in the game! Steer away, that would be my advice.

I happened to create a Mod to do this at about the same time and, I would like to think, did it properly.

I have only altered the records of those female characters (there are no males)  in the basic game that were using the opposite gender animations as well as ensuring that the USkP changes are brought forward and added an optional file that does the same for the female NPC's in Dawnguard.
