Hello. I have this very strange issue when viewing my Khajiit in third person. There are these strange white streaks as you can see below. They sort of go away and move around as I move the camera around. If I move to a side angle a few are still present just not nearly as many. In this way i'm not really sure what to classify this issue as. A texture issue? lighting issue? I cannot amount the problem back to any textures, lighting mods, or ini tweaks. If anyone has any ideas or has seen this before it would be greatly appreciated =)

Do you have the problem since the beginning of your playthrough?

I have. I just barely started this save today. Using Alternate start and the Race Menu. Could it be the use of a custom color through the race menu that is causing this issue?

I have. Removed cover khajiits, beast races, dlc optimized and essentially just had vanilla unoptimized textures and it didn't go away (in relation to Khajit and body textures).

Ok. As odd as it may sound...... I believe I found the culprit. The animation from frostfall that shows your character warming their hands seems to be the issue (or at least one of the issues). Whenever I go up near a fire and my character starts the animation the above occurs. When I deactivate the use of the animation it does not seem to come up at all as far as I can tell. If I find it coming up again I will update this and try to find said problem.

very interesting indeed...

I think it might be a combination of different mods... a mod editing the lighting of the campfire and the animation from frostfall... perhaps the back side of the head of the khajiit is then partially marked as illuminated and gets lit up, while the rest is out of the "light circle" and remains dark... pure hypothesis though.

That could very well be the problem. I deactivated COT and Enhanced lights and effects and it still occurred. Submitted a bug report to Frostfall. Thought it couldn't hurt. For now i'll just not use the animations. It is a bit finicky for me anyway and could care less that it is gone.

For anyone who might be interested this was Chesko's response "That is the wetness membrane shader. It doesn't look that great on Khajiits unfortunately. You would experience the same thing using Wet and Cold's wetness shader. If it bothers you, you can disable it."

 

Just going to leave that disabled then.
