Upsated on Nexus.

Greatly improved log information.
- Improved safety around code injection.
- Fixed enchanting max_charge formula using the wrong cap.
- Fixed an issue which prevented skills from being legendary'd.
- Fixed legendary key rebinding issues.

True, the link was posted not by the author, but by another user. The above linked guide also clearly references (and was initially written for) an older version of the Uncapper, but still is also is the only reliable reference source for the mod for me so far ...

The mod had three more smaller updates in the meantime, but more importantly since version 2.0.0 an INI file is already included with installation, so this might be a bit confusing with the guide instructions describing a later-generated INI ...

Mod updated on Nexus, v 2.2.0.

- Added automatic configuration file updating which preserves file comments/formatting.
- Fixed a crash when spending/getting perks.
- Mitigated a crash on non-english systems related to unicode text parsing.

What is the reason for instructing users to generate an empty mod to contain the INI file? If the INI file isn't being changed, what is the purpose of doing this?

If you are not modifying the file, you wouldn't need to separate it. The instructions are there in case you want to preserve your settings across mod updates.

What does this mod actually do in a STEP install? My understanding is it does nothing unless the ini file is tweaked, which Step doesn’t advise?
