SKYRIMSE overwrite.esl error not found in FAQ or forum so far

Hi, first question on the forum.

Followed the install process for dyndolod 2.98, using vortex and ran loot once the load order conflicts had been resolved.

Got a single, worrying error from loot:

# Overwrite.esl

- CRC: 03E1DF5C
- Attributes: Master Plugin, Light Plugin

## Messages

- Error: This plugin contains records that have FormIDs outside the valid range for an ESL plugin\. Using this plugin will cause irreversible damage to your game saves\.

I searched the manual and the forums and couldn't find anything looking like this. Has anyone come across this and if so what is the fix?

I haven't run the game since seeing this error as I'm already a couple of hundred hours into playing and don't want to lose my save files.

You did not follow the installation instructions and installed the DynDOLOD Standalone into the data folder/as a mod or you installed files from in the sub folder ..\Docs\SkyrimSELargeRefGrid\Data\  - which are part of a bug report example - into the data folder / as a mod. There are no such instructions anywhere to do so.

Really read the installation instructions. From DynDOLOD_QuickStart.html:

From the DynDOLOD Standalone archive copy the content of the 'DynDOLOD' folder, which contains the files DynDOLOD.exe, TexGen.exe, DynDOLOD_QuickStart.html and the sub folders 'Docs' and 'Edit Scripts' with all their content into a new 'DynDOLOD' folder outside of special OS folders like 'Programs Files' or 'Program Files (x86)', the SteamApps or game folders and Mod Organizers virtual file structure. Do not mix with old versions or xEdit/xLODGen installation.

This implies to not install the tools as a mod since the tools - programs and their data files -  are not a mod.

You absolute star (and great person of ultimate patience) .

I missed the fact that vortex was set to auto install/enable and deploy downloaded files so even though I then followed the instructions it had already done the dirty and installed the downloaded file as well.

I've now disabled the auto-installed files (and disabled auto install/enable in vortex) leaving just the manually created files your instructions shows how to process and surprise - no errors.
