STEP Skyrim SE Guide v0.2.0b - Official Bug Reports

Changelog says 'HD Reworked Baskets' is being replaced by 'Realistic HD Baskets Restored' however the 'HD Reworked Baskets' is still in the mod list for 0.2.0b. The current placement of 'HD Reworked Baskets Restored' has it overwriting all textures from the other mod except for textures for a single clutter basket the old mod is still providing. Follow the guide? or follow the changelog?

'Terrain LOD Redone' doesn't appear in the changelog as REMOVED, however this mod no longer appears in the guide. Can we get confirmation on whether or not this mod should be removed?

The description of Landscapes - Cathedral Concept on Nexusmods states: "Not compatible with Terrain LOD Redone : An equivalent is included" -> that's why Terrain LOD Redone is no longer in the guide.

 

You can use Terrain LOD Redone if you do not intend to use Landscapes - Cathedral Concept, which according to the guide is optional and also not required by the STEP Patch.

Regarding kryptopyr's Patch Hub -> there is the patch "Metallurgy - Ingots and Ore HD __ CCOR", which includes two meshes. Are those not required? There is also the patch "Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch __ CACO" but I'm assuming that conflicts between USSEP and CACO are resolved with the STEP Patch.

It's not marked as "removed" because it was never supposed to have been "added" before release. It was supposed to be replace by Landscape - Cathedral Concept right before v0.1.0b was release. I see it somehow got left in the v0.1.0b Guide, though. In any case, it shouldn't be installed.

In the installation details for Enhanced Blood textures, the option for blood size is incorrect.

What are the options for 'Even Better Quest Objectives'?

Fixed. I just added a small comment. It should be self-explanatory without having me to input the FOMOD template.

Thanks! Got that fixed. You need both. I used Patch Hub because the patches are all ESLs/ESL-flagged so they don't take up plugin slots. Therefore, there isn't any reason for me to include them in the patch when they won't hurt anything by leaving them in the load order.

In description of Oblivion Gates it say: "Then download and merge the BDS Update File."

 

Can not find this file on the mod page. ?

I believe that was an update file for the previous version which is now included in the main file current version.

From the SSE Engine Fixes page:

Once installed open and ensure the EngineFixes64.ini file is configured
I assume this means the EngineFixes.ini file within the mod file, or is there actually a file called EngineFixes64.ini that I'm just not seeing?

      Hi!
      I'm have made 3D LODs and I want to create a "performance version" of the 3D LODs. I noticed that the Step Modifications team has created plenty of 3D LODs for various tree mods with this option. I'm unsure where to start in this process of optimizing the tree models. So far, as you can imagine, the decimate modifier in blender seems to be greatly lowering poly count but at the cost of a deteriorated model. I have seen the term "flat trunk models", but am also unsure of how to do this or what it means. Does this refer to the trunk after running it through hybrid.bat? Any advice on where to start or what tools to use? Also, should I only concern myself with optimizing the trunks or would it be wise to include optimized crowns?

      I've trying to make trees, so I used speedtrees to create first tree. I've exported tree model to .obj format and textures in png. After it i converted png to dds. In blender I checked tree, connected alfa channel and it looks like good.
       
      Then I've exported from blender .obj and opened in NifScope, so all was ok, but then I started to put textures I fond problem
       
      Here you can see black color around leafs, so how can I fix it and remove this black color? Maybe something wrong with textures ?
