Issue with Vanilla HUD Remastered

Howdy,

 

After following the guide installing all the UI mods excluding:

 

• Flashlight
• Dynamic Crosshair
• Stimpack Counter
• Powered Power Armor
• JIP Overheat
• Smaller Crosshair
• GP Darn UI Settings
• CASM
• Extended Save Manager
• Centered Overhead 3P Camera
• no more dots

 

I'm having issues with Vanilla HUD Remastered's inventory_menu.xml file which overwrites DarnUI. It causes the inventory menu's buttons becomes misaligned, the font to be incorrect, messes up the spacing between items, and adds a funny button called "Button Text". screenshots: https://imgur.com/a/ICZ4C2Y

Not sure what I did wrong. I tried the older version of the mod listed on STEP (1.81) with the same result. Not a huge deal since it looks fine with the file hidden. Not sure what it was supposed to do.

 

Side note: Is it normal how crappy the arm texture is in the Pipboy view (clothing looks similar)?

This is a very old thread but there may be people out there having exactly this issue and Google is sending them to this site. So I decided to post the solution here:

Open Menus\Main\inventory_menu.xml and search for this line and deactivate or delete it:

<include src="text_box.xml"/>
