It's not a problem. How to locate an item in New Vegas? E.g. I installed cyberware from Project Nevada a lot later and I had to Google the GRX implant of OWB where someone suggested it could be found with GECK. Is it possible to do it maybe with xEdit?

  1. While in-game find the item, open the console, and click on it. This will give you the ID of the item.
  2. Write it down.
  3. Now go into xEdit and load the plugin that adds the item.
  4. Use the search field at the top left pane to search for that item. Once you find it note the "Editor ID" of the item.
  5. Now in GECK you can load the plugin that places that item and search for the Editor ID to find the item in GECK.

This works for Skyrim. I assume its the same for New Vegas.

And what do I do from here to find the item's location in-game?

This is the first time I've run GECK so excuse me for being so inexperienced :P

It's not placed anywhere. You'll have to load a cell you are familiar with (double-click a cell in "Cell View"), drag it into the render window, place it and then save.

I know that it is placed on Mysterious Cave on OWB (NVDLC03SLBloatFlyCave) and I already found it, I'm trying to learn the way to find an item. Edited by Hackerpcs

A count of zero means it isn't placed anywhere right, Tech? Not trying to confuse anyone here, I was just looking at the presented image. If I wanted this I'd probably try and cheat by "help implant 4" and add it to my inventory if the ID appears. Can never be bothered otherwise. ^_^

Yes, a zero count will usually mean it's not placed anywhere within a worldspace, but there's always the possibility that's not correct. I don't know if this was a quirk of GECK or not. CK has plenty of quirks.

In this case, the item could be placed in a storage container somewhere, within a leveled list, or be scripted to appear upon certain conditions. I've never played New Vegas and am obviously not familiar with this mod.
