Recommended Posts

Well now that I have Deus Ex out of my system thought I'd come back to this. First change I've noticed since I was gone is that there is no longer an UFO4P for AWKCR. The updated AWKCR no longer requires one from what I gathered from the change log.

Ya I'm unaware that UF4P required a AWKCR patch

Woops! Got that the other way around! AWKCR now no longer requires the UF4P Patch. Here's from the 3.0 changelog:

- Since UFO4P is now a master (it is an .esm even though the name is still .esp) it can now be loaded BEFORE AWKCR. The AWKCR-UFO4P patch is no longer necessary and thus has been removed. The proper load order is as follows:

Fallout4.esm

<All DLC .esm>

Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch.esp

ArmorKeywords.esm

<All other .esm>

<AWKCR DLC patch(es)>

<All other .esp>

I think you might have too many settlement mods. I don't know it's just, that's gonna add a lot of stuff that as a builder myself, I would just get overwhelmed by. The ones that add stuff I'd stick to only a couple.

I just realized that this isn't a helpful post, I'll edit this (or create new one if you respond) with recommendations and why.

@Aeradom

BAM WALL OF TEXT

I have altenate settlements there as I use a save game pre creation pack it's optional

I think the main ones these days are

SKE

Home maker

SMH

Snap and Build is the easiest to create mansions

ocdecorator(soo much junk in there ;) for the ocd)

then addons like

SM Kitchens

craftable showers

craftable weapons rack

etc

alot of the home maker mods overlap "hidden" in game assets I have not played a lot with them so I do not know what is "all inclusive"

because if you want a pool you have to get a pool mod if you want an elevator you need a elevator mod etc etc.

If you have played with House mods and know what the cool kids use then by all means throw up a list.

I have not spent too much time on this other then writing it and doing any "fixes" or helping out anyone who asks.

there seems to be little feedback and I have no counter to see traffic. I have run around and spammed the site a bit to get interest.

ID say I'd have to install snap and build and play with it and try greenhouses etc to work out what works with what and what is "missing" like rugs wall hangings "junk" etc but I'd have to invest 10hrs+ on delving into that, has nobody written an ultimate HOWTO on settlement building?

The list at the moment is more "all inclusive and tick all the boxes" with a bazillion options

A simple "novice" setup would be

Snap n Build (and/or SMH)

SM Kitchens

craftable showers

craftable weapons rack

Extra Objects

Homemaker - Expanded Settlements (seperate menu)

Settlement Supplies Expanded (depriceated apparently will remove) https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3690525-ssex-homemaker-snapnbuild-and-alternate-settlements-load-order/&do=findComment&comment=33422845

if you do not want to use broken door walls and roof then mods like this are needed

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8813/?

Faction housing overhaul

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15814/?

Settlement assistance

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12032/?

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4106/?

Cleaning and placement

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4640/?

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9424/? (F4SE)

If you want to have higher settlement budget one of these (I do not which one is most reliable.)

Ohhh my bad 5,185 views Hi all!!!
Just all the silence was deafening.

If you want different loadout on the mods for Building/survival/Hi end graphics rather then the demo one in the guide I can make something more interesting.

Just need to know.....

Also like the other people that have posted if you have a specific issue, post it. And I'll see if I can fix it.

@Aeradom

OK It's all your fault!!!

I'm looking at Settlement mods, the reason I avoid then is they are soooo glitchy, and My save game is a potato.

Missing Workshop menus - Fixed

Missing Sub menus -Fixed

My issue now is some objects in my settlements can be moved but not scraped or stored, I see a lot of people talking about it but No real solution like global delete/reset all item etc in a Settlement.

Are you (or anyone else) aware of how to fix this issue?

Wow, you've been busy! Been busy the past couple of days so sorry for not getting back to you. As to that issue, I'm surprised the console command for just deleting whatever it is you are aiming at doesn't work. Granted I haven't had that issue before so I haven't had to deal with it.

I would recommend going with Scrap Everything instead of Spring Cleaning by the way. Although it would seem that Spring Cleaning does work for some, enough people are saying it doesn't work with DLCs that I don't see a reason going with it over Scrap Everything. Not to mention which Spring Cleaning hasn't been updated for some time whereas Scrap Everything is still very much active. In fact, the last update was in January which means the mod hasn't received an update since the CK came out.

One important note with that mod is that the author says to put it at the end of the load order so probably install last (or just make sure it's at the end of load order when complete).
