@Atalanta

Is your FO4Edit executable pointing to C:\Users\{user}\AppData\Local\ModOrganizer\fo4edit?

if so try {driveletter}:\ ModOrganizer2Data \fo4edit

Loot should be C:\Program Files (x86)\LOOT\Loot.exe

Hmmm, then it's most likely a permissions issue.

Close MO2

right click ModOrganizer2Data choose properties

untick the read only click ok or apply that should change the readonly status of all the files and folders

Try loot or FO4 edit

Yey or neigh

if not

right click ModOrganizer2Data go to the security tab

click advanced there should be an everybody user click that

tick the box at the bottom Replace all child objects

the ok or apply

Yey or neigh

@Gernash

It took some clicking around but I got full permission for the entire ModOrganizer2Data folder.  I keep trying to uncheck the read-only box, but each time I hit apply and reopen the box, it's filled in again, not sure which file it won't let me save it for.

Still nothing, though.

Just looked through all the individual files, nothing is actually marked as read-only anymore, so I did get that part to work.

@Atalanta

that's normal the box reappearing, DID you add everybody to the permissions?

If so then you have a glitch in the matrix

the only thing I can do for you is have a look and see if I can spot the problem.

i.e. login into your computer and have a play with it.

if this is not acceptable then I'll see if I can dream up another thing to check but this is definatly not "normal"

I use the old and new, if you have multiple copies of mo2 they all point to the same folder(not an issue)

Do you want me to log in? If so you will need to get permission from a parent or guardian if you are <16

I built this PC with my own two hands, I don't need no stinkin permission.  (I'm in my 20's, I'd hope I don't need permission anymore.)  I do need to know what you're using, unless there's new magic software where I don't have to install anything on my end.
