Specific mods won't enable by mouse

Question

Posted

For some reason, some of my mods won't enable.  I can click the check box all day, and it never checks.  Most of my mods enable just fine, but certain ones (such as "Schwarzenegger and Modern Weapons") just refuse to enable.

I have found a work around, that I can enable these stubborn mods using the space bar, but even when enabled, I then cannot disable them using the mouse.

And again, this is only affecting specific mods.  The vast majority of my mods enable/disable with the mouse without any problems.  I also tried restarting MO, and the problem persisted for those same specific mods.

Again, I do have a work around, so a solution to this problem isn't pressing, but I figured you'd want to know about this bug.  If there's any additional information I can provide to make your lives easier, just let me know.

Neither Skyrim, nor MO, are installed on the C: drive, let alone in Program Files.  I know how buggy that can make games (and mods especially).

As for antivirus software, I hadn't changed any installed files between the time that it was working, and the time that the single mod (not any others around it) stopped responding to mouse clicks.  And again, it could be enabled through a key press (space bar), just not through a mouse click.  As such, I'd suppose this is some kind of internal issue with the UI, rather than external interference.

The mod has also since started working normally again, and once again, I changed nothing in my computer installations.

I realized that this was an oddball from the beginning.  As I said, I just wanted to give as much information about it as possible as a bug report.

This doesn't appear to be a specific MO issue, rather something peculiar to your machine. There is nothing different about the way MO populates the UI with selection boxes, the same code is used for all mods installed so if it works for one mod it will work for all. I have just installed the mod you specified and it works as you would expect.

I would suggest looking for anything that may be interfering with your mouse driver, perhaps some form of graphic overlay or another process that is intercepting certain mouse clicks.

I seem to remember that input problems were related to Wacom products and a Naga Razor mouse. If you have any of these try removing them or switching them out.
