rootsrat Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Hi! I've had over a year break from Skyrim and only recently reinstalled it. I have STEP Extended setup working, so now it's time for some personal flavour and touch to my modlist. Back in a day I was using SkyRe and enjoyed it. Are there any new good skills/perks overhauls that are worth checking or is SkyRe still the one to go for? And 2nd question: which od the STEP Packs are up to date? Thanks!
Greg Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 I personally use Smithing Perks Overhaul - Remade and Updated with Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade and Stealth Skills Rebalanced by Kryptopyr. Others may prefer Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim, SPERG, or Perkus Maximus, Requiem, or SPERG-Ordinator Combined for a more overall gaming overhaul. There are others as well
rootsrat Posted June 11, 2016 Author Posted June 11, 2016 Nice one, thanks for reminding me of those. I think the only new one I don't know is the Ordinator - the rest I'm familiar with. Not that much have changed it seems! :)
dreadflopp Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 My packs are up to date, including the Survival pack. SRLE Extended is up to date and in constant development. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk 1
TechAngel85 Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 REGS is not up to date, but can easily be made so with the lite version of ICAIO and a bit of work on the patches.
Nebulous112 Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 I personally use Smithing Perks Overhaul - Remade and Updated with Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade and Stealth Skills Rebalanced by Kryptopyr.I also have this setup.
Nozzer66 Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 I wholeheartedly recommend Ordinator. It's dead easy to use and needs less patching and skyproc stuff than Perma. I'd start with Neovalen's SRLE and then look at others like Dreadflopp's and/or SRLE Extended.
rootsrat Posted June 14, 2016 Author Posted June 14, 2016 Thanks for all the suggestion guys. I went only with Smithing and Stealth mods by the great Kryptopyr :) I always wanted to try that set up, but somehow always ended up with SkyRe in the past :) I'm adding a bunch of custom mods to the mix, so want to minimise conflicts as well.
redirishlord Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 STEP Extended + SRLE using Dread's Modular Install with the Gameplay Overhaul mods to kick it into high gear. Season to taste with Darth & Lexy's SRLE Extended, or if you aren't into doing your own CR use their entire list with convenient CR patch available. Those forums are active & support friendly so you should get all the help you need on conflicts, updates & whatnot - I have just by reading through the old posts.
rootsrat Posted June 15, 2016 Author Posted June 15, 2016 I have a solid base now, it's missing some crafting mods to compliment CCO and stuff like Frostfall, Camping etc. I think I have all the mods that require starting a new game now, so I'm going to start a playthrough - I really really want to just start playing now - I've spent nearly a week on this build after over 1 year break from Skyrim! :)
