Adding mods onto SR:LE, advice, which to drop etc?

Heya, I finished installing the mods. Everything was followed to the letter and what I didnt understand some other lad asked the question in the forums before me :P

Bascially I have a bunch of mods here that I would like to add on afterwards and I wanted peoples advice for what I should do. As in the mods unnessessary, too imcompaitble, or if not where should I place them in the Mod Order.

Just your opinions on the list below bascially to see if it's too mad or what not  :P

  • SPERG
  • Not So Fast Main Quest
  • Jaxonz Positioner
  • Skyrim Performance Plus  (Minus the Snow FX Thanks guys!)
  • OBIS LOOT
  • Skytweak
  • Auroura
  • Unread Books Glow

EDIT: That's everything! Woot, removed some, installed others that aren't on the list (general stores stuff/craftable storage/heartfire extended etc)

Thought so... When it comes to perk overhauls, I used to be a huge Perma fan, but have now decided Ordinator is easier and better. Maybe look at that over SPERG as well?

Ok I made some edits in the main list.

Now I've used Ordinator alot in the past it's just that I like how simple SPERG is. Also I really like the fact that's there not 1 million Perks  :P The auto perk at skill levels is a great wee thing too.

In short though you lads are saying that I might have issues with getting it working?

for starts true storm isn't compatible with vivid weathers (as far as i know)

everything else should be ok

Very easy to patch - I made a partial patch myself, I just kept VW's thunder as I preferred it over true storms. I'd offered it to Manga but he wanted to do his own thing and came up with that vanilla+ thing....

I've since reverted to CoT with ESS, Vivid Clouds & Fogs, True Storms and Vivid Snow as I prefer Vividian Vanilla's look over vividian for vivid weathers

Honestly mate i am more of a newbie then you i think and i am just going along with the excellent SRLE Extended after SRLE.Only after im done with both of them i will go with my own setup. However even a simple mod might require FNIS/Bashed Patch/DynDOLOD/Conflict Resolution/Sky proc redo's.Not even considering the reinstallation of some mods for their compatibility patches and merging! It's soon going to be a month since i first started advanced modding, it was first step extended and i am installing SRLE/SRLE Extended for the second time now.Not because of crashes or anything the game worked just fine however i needed to be ABSOULUTELY sure and to learn some things that i missed the first time which i realise now i did and guess what?I only played the game for 20 hours max...lol.So if you are really in to this , get ready for reading novels of knowladge and headaches.

I've been modding years. I'm all over it like a bad rash.

I just wanted some opinions on the mods above. SR:LE Extended is just a wee bit too much for my needs. The list above is really everything I would want and I could drop even more off it. Not more.. less ya dig?

I was always hoping that lads would tell me where to install them, what sections etc

Unread books glow isn't really needed with MoreHUD. MoreHUD has an icon for books already read.

Not So Fast Main Quest is easy, add it to the quests category and a small amount of conflict resolution in xEdit.

Jaxonz Positioner is super easy, no conflicts with anything. It uses the some of the same assets as another mod or two, I think Immersive Horses? But no worries there, it is the same mod toolset being used, so no need to worry.

THIS is the exact kinda post I was looking for thank you! The only thing that Unread Books does that MoreHud doesn't is it shows skill books from a distance

Sperg was the only one that was a bit messy but there's already a bunch of patches out there for CACO/EEF/WAFR/I.A so most of the work is already done.

Gotta love the commnuity eh?

So the last one my LIST is Lanterns of Skyrim.

  • I'm not totally sold on this, what do you guys think?
  • Also why isn't Skyrim Performance Plus used in Revisted?
  • The last thing I need is a combat mod. Maybe more AI than stats. I'm looking at Enhanced Enemy AI Reborn.

So do ya thinl lads? This is my last stop before I start merging

Exactly the reason I continue to use Unread Books Glow. It makes it a lot easier to see the unread (skill) books from a distance without having to cursor over them to see the asterisk.

I removed it from my list but I just love the mod for that alone (just for skill books). I'll slap it back in so  :P
