NMM Import is adding ".zip" to detected files

Tiktaalik

Question

Hi, I'm converting over from NMM to Mod Organizer, and I'd like to use the import function for my existing mods from the Nexus website.  However, when I begin the import, each attempted file reading by MO has a spurious ".zip" on the end.  For example modA might have a filename in NMM of modA-1.2.zip, MO will try to copy over "modA-1.2.zip.zip".  The same thing happens with .7z files (eg blah.7z.zip) and presumably anything else it finds.

I can't find any examples of people saying the same thing on these forums though.  So I'm not sure if it's something daft at my end, or if the code is the issue but no-one's using the import.

Having never used the feature myself I can't be definitive but I'm fairly sure the code for the NMM import was designed when NMM was still using a single installation system and perhaps the switch to profiles has changed the folder locations around and MO is now looking in the wrong location.

There is a far easier way to have all your NMM downloads in MO though.

Just copy or move all the files from their current location to the downloads folder set in MO. Since you will still have to install and order them correctly anyway using import.
